man got my first ticket on wednesday, man i was caught goin 83 on a 65, he was on the side of the HOV and waiting for speeders like me, i know i deserve it..but what ____ed me off was that when he finish ticketing me, at the next stop light...he peel out and sped off when i turned green, i heard that if you speed off too fast a cop can stop you for unnecsseary show off, my gf was ____ed and filed an complaint for what he did, and she asked a couple of others one of them being a cop file more complaints about him LOL hope he get in probation

 

First, advice for you. I'm not sure where you live, but GO TO COURT. In my state, judges are VERY likely to sentence you to supervision and a fine if you plead guilty in court. What that means is that you pay your fine, stay clean for 90 days, and the ticket disappears from your record and your insurance company never knows.

Second, regarding your complaining. Nothing will happen to him. Odds are that he either a) got a call or b) saw another speeder to go stop, and in either case he is legally permitted to break certain traffic laws. Also, having your other friends complain about him although they weren't present could create a big problem as they will be lying.

 

I got my first ticket with my tC a couple of weeks ago also. I felt so but since I have to pay $195 for it plus schooling. I too deserves it, I was going 100+ but the officer put down 85+ thank god. Here in CA for 100 you could be arrested to wreckless driving. I could have bought an intake but oh well.

 

Me too! I got a ticket 2 weeks after i got my tC. Exact situation, he was staying in the HOV lane waiting for me, didnt see him! Doing 75 on 60. Too bad for me!

yeah tickets suck, especially when u know what u did wrong...i was racing an M3...(i know i know, i have no chance...but on the street anything goes)...anyways, a cop pulls me over and gives me a ticket...he put down estimated speed 90mph....i dont dissagree..i sure have stopped speeding after that.....im kinda thankful i got a ticket....except the whole court and fine bs...

 

i just took Defensive Driving class today, so hopefully it won't stay on my record...but bout a year ago i sped on I-35 and i was goin 119, some ___ called the cop on me on the freeway and the cop caught me, that time i couldn't do defensive driving..but for that particular county if you pay 50 bucks more along with the ticket (which for my case was like 279) it's erase from your record...i asked the court too if my case was dismissed and not in my record and they said yes...but hopefully that ticket dont' have any affect on my defensive driving class i took today to get my ticket off my record this time

 

definetely go to court, if its a first offence normally you can take driving school, and probation for 60 days, but besides that, nothing will go on your record and everything will be ok. I had just got a ticket taken care of, i actually won in court, but i had to pay a lawyer 350 dollars just to keep my license from being suspended. let me tell you, after that day in court, i will never be speeding again.

 

i got my first ticket exactly 1 month ago. i didnt have my tc back then, i was still driving my mustang. I paid the fine with the driving school, but i didnt have to sit through the 8 hrs of school. my dad's friend who works at the coart hooked me up :D

 

had my car for a month but no tickets yet. got pulled over and had a warning for not having my headlights on i had my parking lights on and i didnt notice they were off cuz the street was so well lit. The event was recorded, a new policy in my village has been in place, so that they can refer to any warnings if anything else comes up.

 

My first ticket was a summons to court. 69 in a 35. Went to the prosecuter and she only fined me 100. i consider myself lucky

 

Damn, everyone here in Atlanta is going at least 10 mph over the limit

 

I feel ya...I got caught doing 70 in a 35 w/ out seat belt...cop was really suppose to give me two tickets for speeding and no safety belt which would've came out to $225.00 but was cool and just hit me with the seat belt fine for $73.50

 

pay a lawyer to take care of it. he'll get it off your record, and you won't have to go to court, and your insurance won't find out. you'll have to pay quite a bit more than if you just paid the ticket, but in the long run it will be better.

 

in your village? is everyone else riding horses there? what kind of rims do you put on a horse?

 

This car feels like it is moving slower than it is compared to my last car, so even when I am not trying to I catch myself speeding. Got my 73 in a 55 about a month after I got the tC

 

Yeah. I have the same problem. I don't feel like I'm going that fast till I hit about 80 and then I'm trying to inconspicuously slow down. Haven't been ticketed in years, but I've been a little lucky. It'll run out one of these days(hopefully after I'm dead):D
