I remember why I drilled them that way because of the pre-drilled holes on the lip. Hopefully there is enough room to drill another set of holes...

 

no hun move the whole lip up, keep the same holes in the lip kit but move them up higher on the front bumper

I don't like the fitment on the rs1 kit either, that's why I ordered mine with the oem kit.

 

Nice rims! Did you paint the lip black and then put on the orange pinstripe? Or did they come like that?

Im planning on doing the same exact thing to mine..i have the G-Racing Sekis which look EXACTLY the same as the Kyowas

 

I think she custom painted them, the lip used to be chrome. Looks sick now btw. You did a great job with them for sure.

I've definately been thinking about doing that with mine, but I don't want to mess them up.

Did you do the whole prep with sanding, prime, base x ? , clear x ? or did you just do alot of coats of a base? And how is it holding up? Can't imagine wheels being rock-chipped up much huh

Have u ever applied Vinyl Decals before??...Same Concept u go Slow and get the creases & bubbles out and then smooth it out!!!.....WA-Laa!

 

Hello FM Cult peeps! I haven't really posted any pics here ever since I first got my fm, but I thought what the heck, let's see how it goes. I was driving around in South Pasadena and happened to see a nice shaded area to do my first shoot. So anyway, here she is:

Hahaha! Thanks. I'm still thinking about dropping it. The fiveaxis kit already made the front and rear too low for me. I've had a few "oh, snap!"incidences in the front already. I know. I know, "learn how to drive, foo!" lol! Wheels? I kinda like the stockies for now.

 

Thank u! I first painted the lip black and then painted the stripe. Everything was going good until I went to clear coat, then it all wrinkled up! (see my thread for pics), but after a few hours I came back and it fixed itself, except for the one wheel that was really bad. I just wet-sanded and gonna leave them flat black.

 

thanx, yeah I was worried about messing it up but with black it's kinda hard to. Plus, the lip was so battered with rock chips, they looked better after I sanded them lol. I sanded, really well and sprayed two coats of adhesion promoter. 5-6 coats of gloss black paint, and 3 coats of clear. Wet sanded with 1000 and then with 2000 grit. So far, I've driven about 60 miles and no problems.

just fixed the lip, much better now...and made some CF center caps.
