Default Floor Mats and Cargo Mat

Okay...I just realized this today, 3 days after picking up my new IIP tC.

I ordered the floor mat package from the dealership along with the sub and rear lip spoiler.

Today when I was putting things under the rear deck I noticed I didn't have a cargo mat...I thought to myself for a while and then checked on Scion's website and their mats package says floor and cargo.

I'm wondering if I got jipped? Or would they not throw it in because I got the sub?

Anyways wondering if anyone has any photos of the cargo mat that comes w/ the floor mats so I can check if I'm going crazy before calling the dealership??

Thanks...

I know they don't show much, but I'm gonna go outside right now and take some pictures...hopefully they'll show something. It's 11:21PM, so we'll hope. lol

Okay I'm back. lol Here are some better photos.

This will show the entire mat in the trunk.

Yah, I know it's dirty. Freaking pollen and 2 minute rain storms suck. Don't pay attention to that. Anyway...

You should be able to see these tabs holding in your mat.

If you don't have the mat, you'll be able to see the screws that hold down the floor to your spare tire.

Hope this answers your questions. I hope you didn't get jipped.

OOH! And a cool thing I noticed when I was back there, on the light in the trunk, there is a little on off switch for when it's dark outside! How neat!

Well now I don't know? I could have sworn that I told him I wanted the floormat package, which according to Scion's website includes the cargo mat...but on Scion.com it's $145 and on my dealer write-up he has it as $120...i'm confused.

Anyways, I'm going to call a little bit later today and see what I can find out.

I'll keep you posted.

You should have gotten the mat. The cargo mat alone is like $40 (unless you go through mcgeorge parts or something like that), and as you understood it, you were to receive all the mats, including the cargo mat...and $120 was your agreed-upon price. The cargo mat wouldn't be excluded just 'cause you got the sub.

Keep us posted as to what happens!

My dealership forgot to give me the mats, then when they gave me the mats, forgot the cargo because they thought the cargo was separate. But when I asked them to check what it said online and saw that it said "floormats and cargo mat", they promptly went back and got the cargo mat too. It might just be forgetfulnes, don't jump to conclusions yet. Unless they're just jerks then they should be able to fix the error.

Okay, I called the dealership 3 times yesterday and really got no where.

The parts guy tried telling me it's two seperate things and I told him repeatedly that it states on Scion's website they are a package.

So I asked him how much it was if they are seperately for the floor mats and the cargo mats he told me the following:

Floor mats are $96 + tax
Cargo mat is $38 + tax

So now I'm fuming because I was charged $120!!!

So now I'm calling back Monday to demand the cargo mat shipped to me. This is ridiculous!

Finally today after calling 3 times Saturday and once today (Monday) I got through and the dealer told me I was jipped.

They are ordering the cargo mat today and will let me know when it's in.

However, the only thing that sucks is I won't be in the area for a while, probably Mother's Day. I'll just have to have my dad pick it up for me...

The cargo mat should be part of the set, (I think they actually sell them as two separate sets, I think I paid around $140 for the front and rear mats and the cargo mat if I remember correctly.

When I got my tC, the dealer decided to throw in the floor mat package... for an extra $120 or whatever. Funny thing is that when I ordered my car, I never mentioned that I wanted them. I got my $ back for returning the floor mats, but I kept myself a little present on accident I guess. (didn't know that the cargo mat was extra)

You need to call the Customer Service number in my signature right now and report that dealership. Forgetful or not, you would have gotten ripped off if you didn't have ScionLife to check and see if you got what you paid for.

Yes, ScionLife helped me out, and I thank you all for doing so.

However, I don't think something like this merits a call to Scion C.S. They righted the problem and all is well. I most likely would have stayed on them anyways about it until I got the cargo mat.

Things turned big time to my favor when I got the parts guy to foul up for me and say the floor mats cost $96 (while I was charged $120 for everything originally)...thus helping my case 10 fold. So basically I got the floor mats and cargo mat under MSRP ($145 according to Scion.com)

Once again thank you all for your help and I'll post pictures when I get it....
