About the Kaminari hood..
I would think the reason for the scoop placement, and form, Its supposed to intake the air rushing downward off your windshield. That air probably goes right inline with the exhaust manifold/header whatever ya got, and keeps the underhood temp. down.

Doesnt the hood get big Chips? I hear fiber glass parts chip 10x easier and in larger chunks. Where did you get your hood?

 

naw i do think it chips, i havnt had any problems with that,

i got my hood from showstoppersusa.com, it's $535 plus free shipping

no, only frp and carbon fiber.

no offence but lmao, a poly urethane hood?? being the fact that its a hood that covers the engine and heat is generated, the hood would become warped. not to mention the probable need for hood pins.

for this hood the best options are frp and carbon fiber.

kaminari's reputaion is the best when it comes to their products. my hood had excellent fitment, no need for adjustments or shimes(sp). and the hood itself has great structural integrity.

I love my reverse cowl kaminari hood but mines carbon fiber, i get alot of compliments on it around here

 

nice, i'd like to see a pic i just took this like 5mins ago, it raind for like 3 minutes and then stopped and now the top half of the car is all spotted

i alos get a lot of compliments ppl think its got turbo or something haha

 

i just sold this car a couple weeks ago and gave this hood to my boyfriend so he loves it

and youre right i cant tell you how many guys asked if my car was turboed. my new tc i just bought, i decided to throw a turbo in there so i might take my hood back lol

 

just make sure you get a good body shop to put the kit on, i had so many probs with my front bumper, it was a nightmare
