Already moved on

The windshield and passenger glass/door and ignition and lock are being repaired and should be ready wednesday. I have the base alarm system with knock/tilt/shake/and proximity ready to go in. The camera system, I am waiting on my 4 chan video card to arrive this week. This will be perfect. It will trigger off the proximity alarm line and start recording in all 4 directions.

Man, if I could get by a hot spot, I could actually watch the car over the web

Dont mind HAHAHA... just some ignorant little kid (immature.. small minded) that tries to start crap on here. Pretty much a joke of a person to me..

anyway... the wireless setup would be cool if you were in a hot spot Some nice IP Cams that you could just log into over the web. But that is a little out of scope I guess! Funny about those samsung drives you mentioned, I had just been looking at info the other day and came across the same article. They sound like they should work very well.

Anyway, good luck with it all, and as always.. post some info and pics when you are done (just nothing that a nosey theif could use against you next time!).

Sounds like you have the alarm covered, but I cannot stress how important it is to be able to recover a car in a timely manner. You should really look into adding a GPS Tracking device (not LoJack)
GPS Tracking will give you an exact location of your car and the last 20 places your car has been. Great for tracking a thief, where he lives, and who he knows etc... Good luck.

anyone ever rigged an alarm system to hydraulics? like, if they touch the headunit in the car the hydraulics start going crazy, making it impossible to do anything but bounce with the car? that with a remote pager could be a cool way to catch a theif! or even install some sort of needle system in the seat that will pop up if the headunit is tampered with, make it a "pain in the butt" for someone to steal your car!!

kinda prince of persia style! wooha!

ScionDad - Sorry to hear about this. I've had my own car (not my Scion, thankfully) broken into three times, and it always sucks.

I will say though, I came out on top as well, as it looks like you will do!
