Default Headunit relocation?

I'm thinking about a few different ways to do an audio system in my car. I'm most likely going to go with the eclipse AVN unit, but I've been thinking about getting a 7" touchscreen LCD for a car computer and putting that in place of the stock head unit. Now if I did do that, I would have to find somewhere to put a 1DIN headunit. I don't want to completely replace the headunit with a computer. Would the cubby hole under the heat/AC controls fit a head unit? any other ideas?

i always suggest under the seat or sumwhere behind the head unit because there is a lot of space back there USUALLY

would take some customization (i.e. acustom fiberglass enclosure) but I saw a car the other day which had the Head unit mounts at an angle so it was right below the rear view mirror. Looked pretty tight.

Default head unit relocation

That would take some heavy mods, but money makes everything possible
