Default Freaking Remote Start in this car isn't as easy as it sounds

Man, I've had a day. I started working on my car around 11 am to install my clifford RSX 3.5 w/ remote start. Long Story short:

- The tC is HORRIBLE to install an alarm in - you can't remove the bottom rear of the dash without removing the top, and you have to worry about the knee airbags. So very cramped.
- I am not done yet, I have yet to locate the 2nd starter wire. I only probed and found a green wire that seems to have a weak ground when the car is not started, and nothign when the car is starting, and back to weak ground when the car is started.
- I had to drive our shop's CRX back home today. It needs its wheels balanced. Driving home, I thought i saw a peice of tarp moving across the road slowly. As I approach, I find its actually a big turtle. This car is approximately 3 inches off the ground, so needless to say my rear end took him out. What a horrible sound. I don't think I did any damage, but it's raining out so I'm not positive. The worst that could have happened is it ripped the body kit off, which I doubt happened.
- I will be charging double to install an alarm in a tC. OK not really, but this damn alarm is taking forever .

i wish i could get a remote starter, but im afraid it will void my warranty and/or not work with the factory alarm.

It won't void the warranty.

Also, I do alarms and tint for a full time job. Well, part time really (college student) but during summer w/ no classes, its full time. So I'm not new to this. However, the car is quite hard to work in just for the reasons listed above. I would recommend taking out the entire dash assembly just so you can get the lower dash out to work underneath it. It's going to be cramped anyway, but since I didn't take mine out, this is hell. I'm going back in at 8 am to finish it up, I got an hour before my shift starts.. I'm sure I'll get it.

I am also doing something that adds a bunch of time: Putting the "brain" in the center console. I took out the console and theres ample room behind my shifter. It's going to be nice when it's done, and if someone tries to brake in my car, they'll have a fun time looking for my alarm brain.

Dude, I am nor busting your chops, but it sounds like your having a bad day, the first one i did took only 5 hours, are you using the 555u for the bypass? It is pain to get under, or you can take down the steering column cover. Good luck, I am sure it will be easier today. Bill

I think i did kill the turtle. 5% limo tint so I couldn't look behind me :/. There's no tailpipe from the catback exhaust, but I'm pretty sure that was missing before lol.

Yeah, I'm having a bad day still. Word to the wise: Second starter cable is a small gauge (i think 22) yellow, not green as Directwire techsheets say.
