Gas milage averages?
I did a search but didn't really find anything...
So i got to ask...
What kind of gas milage are you guys/girls getting driving around town conservativly?
I'm highly considering the scion to be my next DD but epa is 23 and there are other cars out there that get much more then that... So i'm wondering if you guys routinly see better gas milage then 23..

Surface streets in L.A.: 19-21 mpg
Wide open freeways (obviously not in L.A.): 27-29 mpg
Last weekend I drove down to San Diego and back, making 324 miles on 11.6 gallons* (just shy of 28 mpg) even though the 405 on the way down was mostly a slow-moving parking lot. My daily commute to and from work yields much lower fuel efficiency (typically around 20 mpg), but then I tend to drive... impatiently. Still, being able to land within two or three mpgs of the EPA estimate is pretty good in my book.
*I filled up at the gas station 1/2 block from the onramp going down, and the low-fuel light came on as I exited the offramp on my way back. How was that for timing? I guess it's a good thing I didn't do a lot of driving in San Diego...
