Default Gas station squeegee car wash?

Just curious how many other Tc owners out there actual **** enough to clean all the glass off at the gas station when filling up. I'm bad for it and everybody stares through me especially when I go to squeegee the glass roof off. I will actually only stop at local gas stations that have good squeegees and if they used fresh cleaner or water (some use the old stall water that stinks with bugs in it)

i do when the car is dirty, i mean, that is what they are there for. and if my tank is bone dry, i'll clean the whole roof off too.

I'm way too ****...I won't get near that stuff or gas station machines.

I always carry a small collection of car care stuff and terry cloths in case I need to clean something immediately.

I don't have access to a hose so I'll go to a self wash location with my own soap and wash mitt because I don't want to use a whored out brush. I've been told that the soap dispensed in self wash places are harsh (they need to be to clean cars) and can strip off wax. I avoid it just in case.

I'd rather stop and clean off my windshield with a towel than use my wipers

^ Yeah, just wait until your tC gets scratched up and dented by a few careless A-holes, then all of your enthusiasm will be gone and you won't care anymore.

Haha I learned from my last car, which is still looking shiny and glossy.
I park far and near no one at my apt. complex.
When I go out I park as far and remote as I have to.
If I'm going somewhere where its going to be packed with cars, I try to get my friends to drive.
I'm probably setting myself up for a stolen car but hey...I don't mod my car and I carry nothing important in it.
If its stolen, I get a new one lol~

It'll happen sooner or later. I used to be a far-away parker too. Then one day I parked far away at the back of an empty parking lot, and I came back to find my tC sandwiched between two big Chevy trucks on either side. They appeared to be company trucks from the same company. Whatever the case, they left about 8 inches of clearance on either side and they both left dents on each side of my car.

I also received a lot of wind damage a few weeks ago, through no fault of my own. I complained about that in another thread. I parked in the only designated area where I am allowed to park, and my tC ended up getting scratched to hell by flying twigs and rocks all through the night. People said I should have used a car cover, but one of the other cars had a cover and it was literally torn to shreds by the morning. It stayed tied to the car, but it was in many pieces.

Now I don't really give a damn about harsh soap when my car already looks like ****. I'm just going to get it fully detailed and get all the dents fixed when it comes time to sell it.

With my last car...
I was parked at a 7-11 and this Mazda van was next to me.
I was standing in front on the lady waiting for her to get her kids out the car so I can get into mine,
She swings open the door and BAM!
She dented my door.
The f-ing lady just stared at me while I was giving her the WTF look.
She didn't even say sorry.

When I park far I park like a jackass so no one would try to fit in.
I'm bad, I know, but I can't help it.

I'm **** enough NOT to use it. You never know what floating around in that crap. Invisable glass and a towel is just fine for me. And 07spectc, I hope you made that dumb bish pay for your dent to get fixed!

I use that sometimes but usually the expensise gas stations have the good water and squeegees. I dont really pay attention to the people around me, have no problems with it.

^^ certain states still have full service gas stations...
one of those.. "we need to employ people" type things.. so yeah...

anyway.. i squeegee the entire roof and front and rear windshield mostly only on long trips where i am stopping for gas and there's a substantial bug collection on the car...

it won't touch paint though.. i'll clean that off with something else.

Yep. Like Washington State. I remember when one of my friends cousins came to CA she wanted to pump gas for me so bad, I was like "ARE YOU SERIOUS? WTF?" Then it was explained to me that it was illegal to pump your own gas in WA.

yeah.. it's really weird for me to drive through a state that still have them.

having someone come up to your car and filling up for you is a little awkward..

but yea... sadly some people from those states have become so accustomed and spoiled to people filling up their car.. they don't know how to do it themselves when they leave that state..

Oregon, not WA

We pump our own

The messed up thing? In OR they don't have the gas tax we have so it's cheeper to have someone fill your tank for you. Weird.
