Default Going with the TC!

Well when I created an account on here I thought I was getting the XB but after test driving them both back to back I changed my mind (No love lost for the XB) and I am getting the TC.

I am waiting on the Flint Mica with a 5 speed. Now after selling my work truck I have $2500 to play with on this car. What shoud I spend it on.? Feed back please, this is new for me.

aftermarket alarm will defnitely be better and probably be cheaper than the scion security.

The stock Scion security Isn't too bad, but its nothing special. For as much as they charge you can get a nice viper alarm w/ pocket LCD to let you know what going on with your ride at all times. Install is pretty cheap. I work at Best Buy and I think with install its right around the $450 mark MSRP, about the same as Scions. You can more features for the buck so shop around. Lastly, dealer installs seem to be more prone to theft - that is if a thief can figure out how to by pass one scion, they can bypass all w/ the stock alarm. Something aftermarket is usually a little more secure.

Not sure how the post got on the Security accessory. But spending for the tC is PURE Pricing. So you know when you go into Dealer how much the car is going to be. Go to Scion.com and configure your car and accessories. Scion will then tell you the EXACT price of your car. You can add/delete accessories to match the money you have to spend.

good luck. It is a great car.

I'm in San Diego and looking for the same thing. Again, I work at Best Buy but am still concerned about alarm installation because the vehicle is soo new. [/code]

I got mine installed at Best Buy. I had a nice story about it on a different thread a week ago. Got myself a Clifford Matrix with LCD pager for $350 installed. Look up the other thread for more info.

Cool deal. I know the guys in the install bay at my Best Buy, but I can't speak for others. $350 including install isnt bad either. Not to ____ you off though, but I think w/ my discount it comes out to be $175 for the viper alarm w/ LCD including installation

Get the exhaust, get the lowering springs, get the door sills.

Get the alarm aftermarket, get it tinted, and if you have enough left over, find you a nice set of aftermarket rims, unless you want to stay with the factory rims, they will ride better if that is what you are looking for.

My only beef with the aftermarket alarm, is that it makes my buttons on the Key useless now. If I go with scion, it still works from the key.

I would think an aftermarket alarm could be set up to arm when the doors are locked and disarm when the doors are unlocked, which would mean you could continue to use the keyless entry remote for arming and disarming. It could probably also close your windows and maybe sunroof when you armed it.

Aftermarket alarms do have there own arm and unarm when the doors are locked and unlocked, so you dont need the stock remote.

Get some cool wheels. The stock wheels do nothing for the appearance of the tC.
