good driver, even greater music
I spun my Echo 360 degrees on a public road once. It was late at night and raining really heavily. Funny thing is, my first reaction after regaining control was to stop and GTFO of the car, just like this guy. I dunno why, but I stood outside to reflect on what happened and then just got back in and continued driving.

well.. it seems he was somewhere in europe... possibly on the 'bahn, so his speed is perfectly reasonable if that is the case. remember that german and swiss drivers are educated much better in how to handle a car at the limits than the average american driver, so his ability to recover from that unplanned slide isnt all that surprising.
I've actually had an unplanned 'drift' in my tc... those of us who live in S. Florida are probably familiar with I-595... this happened one wet night, after the rains were over but the roads were still very wet (I was still on the stock yokos at the time IIRC) . I was getting off 595-W to get on 441/SR7 to go south towards the seminole casino. the off ramp becomes a long, sloping 270 degree loop after passing over 441. to make things perfectly clear:
I knew it was wet,
I was 5mph under the posted speed for the loop because it was wet
I made a very tiny mistake and stayed on the brake until just after I entered the turn which under normal circumstances would not have any effect, but I did not know at the time that my rear tires were in need of replacement (not bald, but the tread was very shallow). the tail broke loose almost immediately, and I found myself looking straight at the inside shoulder of the curve. It all happened quite smoothly however, and some power-on countersteer got the drift under control very handily - managed to drift more than halfway thru the curve as if it was planned all along with no drama other than that initial 'o ____' moment.
needless to say I changed out all 4 tires the next day, but that new set - fuzion ZRi's - were terrible in the wet, constantly feeling like they wanted to hydroplane. Now I'm running on general Exclaim UHPs and am quite pleased with them - they actually feel just as grippy in the wet as they do when dry.
