long story short.

braked to prevent from hitting car in front of me.
dude behind me hit me about 30 mph

2006 ford f-150. his bumpers messed up alot. while my bumper is almost not damaged at all.

which shocked me.


im very happy but........ iono i hope i dont got frame damage. since the bumpers not really lined correctly (trunk is sticking out a lil bash bumper)

but still im glad the car held up well. good construction > shedding pounds for speed

 

what a strong bumper, did you see if you have frame damage that you can't find out by yourself? have a body check (ur car)

sucks to hear man.
whenever i have to brake really fast i always alternate between checking in front of me and checking my rearview every second or two.
if i dont think the guy behind me is gonna stop ill pull off the side oif the road or do whatever i possibly can to help the situation.
call me paranoid...lol

 

yea i did but not much i can do all the cars around me stopped fast so thats why i slammed on my brakes. big chain reaction.

 

If I were to ever get rear ended, I hope his would be the outcome honestly...

I was rear ended about a year ago, I was stopped at a red light and a lady in a SUV putting on her makeup crashed into the back of my tc. It felt like my whole back side of the car had gotten totaled. I checked the bumper, and in the inside of the bumper were the only things that were jacked up. The bill was like about $750 for a factory repaint job and repair, I tried to call the lady and she kept ignoring my calls so i called the insurance on her ___.. She still had to pay up in the end..

 

Glad your ok good to hear the car held up good too. Hope you get taken care of soon and there is no frame damage.

 

i got rear ended in september. damn mexican ran back to his country. he was driving a company truck (landscaping, go figure) so we went after the company and 4 months later i got my car fixed (replaced bumper/paint = $650)
