At least its just a key mark. some one got ____ed at me once and kicked my door in, right on the crease too. right around 1800 dollars to fix it because i had to get a new door skin. it wasnt a kid either, it was a 46 year old (drunk)man. and he still denys it to this day. so his 70,000 dollar mercedes might be getting a little gift soon...

Thanks for replying.

1- Today I heard from a girl I know her car got keyed few weeks ago too. My guess is there must be a stupid a** with nothing to do or a group of 2-3 sh1itheads done it because I've noticed 3/10 cars all got keyed when I walked by.

2- This happened in a college parking lot, so will they do anything about it ?

3- I don't ____ ppl off or try to race unless .. it's a different story..

4- My deductible is $500 with State Farm, so I know I will pay that amount out of pocket. But now I'm low on funds .. sigh ..

There are not many Scions here in IA or NE, so maybe that gets their attentions ? Is there anything I can do to hide those scratches ?

yeah, I got my TC keyed too. It was on New Years eve and we parked in front of Blockbuster to rent a movie. By the time we walked out my friend's gf noticed the key mark on the car. Sometimes people just key up cars just because they can. Not necessarily because you did anything to them. At my school, a whole line of cars were keyed in the parking lot. sometimes I think I should get an older beat up car to be my commuter. that way I know even if it got keyed, I could care less.

Sorry to hear about being keyed. Mine was keyed too and I think was just random since I'd only had the car a week and never had any problem with my neighbors.

This is why I'm scared to go to Wal-Mart, in addition to the HORRIBLE drivers there (seriously, in the few block stretch of road in front of that store, it's terrible and scary driving), I can't imagine what may happen to my tC in that insane asylum, aka, Wal-Mart parking lot and store

if your repaint jobs are costing more than 600$ this system may be worth it.

I saw something a year or so ago about some type of "self-healing" paint... not great for super deep scratches, but can deal with regular scratches.

It'd still be better than this. But what happens? Our paint is still "paint." Of course, what would dealer body shops be without regular paint? Not trying to imply anything, of course...

heh
