I got my windows tinted finally but I am a little worried that I will get pulled over. I got 13% all around. They are not too too dark but I am not suppose to even have the 2 front windows in the first place. What do you think the chances are of me getting pulled over for my tint?

 

Well if your driving crazy or being stupid then most likely they will use that to pull you over, or if the cop is just having a bad day. See how it goes if u get a warning or ticket just take the front tint off...

 

I wasn't aware that you couldn't have the front windows tinted.

I agree with Kaeon. I have been driving cars with the front windows as dark as the back for over three years and have yet to be pulled over for it (knock on wood). As long as you don't draw attention to yourself, you should be okay. Although, in some areas where the cops are in abundance and seem to be looking for things to ticket, I keep my front windows rolled down ;-). Any pics of your car that you can post? -Jayme

 

Do you know what kind of Tint you got, as in Brand, Llumar, Solargard or whatever. Also, how much were you charged

 

I think its more a game of luck. I used to have a focus with 5% tints all around except the windshield ofcorse. 1 year zero tickets. Got pulled over for other stuff but never even questioned about the tints. My friend on the other hand had 20% and he got pulled over the same week and got a ticket for them. We both live in Brooklyn New York, and cops realy give tickets out like crazy here.

 

here in CA no tint is allowed on the front two. the back, now those you can make them as dark as you want.

I had my windows all the way around on my rolla, and never got stoped. But then again, everyone and their mothers have tint here in so cal.

 

I think I got Solarguard. I am not quite sure my boyfriend paid for them to be done. We paid $140 for them. I am not a crazy driver or anything and usually drive the speed limit so I dont cause too much attention to the car. But ya never know I can get the wrong cop on the wrong day who is just having a F**ked up day.......that would be my luck. Crossing my fingers though. I will be taking pictures this week though so I should have them posted later on this week.

In Cali its 70% up front and the rest its any %age and a 4" windsheild visor.

You can have limo tint on your windows and you WON'T get pulled over if you don't look suspect. But if you have lots of tats and are of a minority race then you increase your chances three fold...Well, at least here in So Cal.

 

If you have limo tint, how can they see you to profile you?

No tint laws in GA any more Got 15% llumar all around. Does not look too dark, but helps a lot with heat.

 

Yeh thats what i got, i love my tint it feels rock hard, not like a cheap film.

 

Say - How much did this cost? Also is there a specific tint brand I should favor over others (e.g. 3m vs. ??) I'm looking somewere between 15 - 25%

 

i got my windows tinted at california tint in rosemead, 32 all around and it looks damn good. i was worried about getting pulled over because with flint mica and the dark interior, the tint looks even darker. it's a good thing the front windshield is so big! plus, i try to keep my sunroof open to let more light in. knock on wood we don't get pulled over...

 

I paid 129 for mine.

 

How is the visability on that? I was curious if the llumar tint would have better visibility than say another brand with the same percentage.

I was thinking of gettint 20%, but it looks kind of light on their sample wall. HmMmM


What kidn of tint brand did they have at CA Tint? Also, how much? I'm around that area too, so if the price is right, i wouldn't mind going there
