How is the visability on that? I was curious if the llumar tint would have better visibility than say another brand with the same percentage.

I was thinking of gettint 20%, but it looks kind of light on their sample wall. HmMmM
I had 35/20 on my Matrix - it was kinda light, so I wanted 20 all around on the tC, but the tint guy said that their best llumar stuff does not come in 20, so I said let's try it in 15, and it's perfect - just the way I wanted it. It's not limo, but at the same time you need to stick your face to the glass to see inside the car, and it keeps the heat out.

the percentage refers to the how much light is being let in....so therefore the lower the percentage, the darker the tint.... i think =)

tint percentage is based on light transmission into the vehicle. so the lower the percentage, the lower the amount of light and uv rays being trapped inside the vehicle, which means darker tint.

The percentage is the amount of light the tint lets through. So the higher the number, the lighter the tint. Lower number, darker tint.

I had 5% (limo) on my Civic's back door windows and windshield and 20% on the front doors. I couldn't back up at night with the windows up. A cop even pulled me over once because he couldn't see through my back windshield even with all the door windows down (no ticket, haha).
So I decided to go with 20% all around on my T-Bird. Stills blocks heat and looks nice, and way easier to see out of.

ok 15% is sounding tempting to me. anyways, so you are saying that visibility to the outside world from the inside of the tC is fine right? you are not going to have a hard time looking out when compared to some cheap tint? HmMm :?

I went to get a tint estimate couple days ago (CA) and yes, it is LEGAL to tint your front and side windows... the limit is 84%... which is basically clear. Lot of tint shops will do what ever you want, cept if its illegal, it'll void the warranty (Guess they do that so they dont get in trouble). I'm probably gonna get 38% for the rear windows.

not sure what brand..... but it's a step up from their basic tint. not the reflective kind, but chromium or something... i'm totally blanking out. i'll PM you the number and guy's name when i find it...

i paid $135 in cash. it's more if you use a credit card. i could've talked the guy down, but i didn't feel like it.

Question for those of you who have tinted your tC...

I noticed on the back window there was a little line on the side - ( the little spec below the other lines)

Did the person who tinted yours go up to the line? Or did they go all the way to the top of the window? Tinting mine probably this weekend so thats why I'm wondering. Thanks!
