grand am loaner
Hearing anything about a Pontiac, I saw a commercial for their new Solstice coming out this summer. It's an awesome little roadster (perhaps the sister to Saturn's upcoming roadster) but I'd never buy it because it's a Pontiac.
I think Pontiacs are like VW's as they are of some sort of cult.
My old neighbors swore by them and have owned every type of Pontiac that exists minus the hideous Aztek. I just don't get it!!

My company gets a discount with pontiac. I was initially gonna get a 20K grand am/grand prix for about 15K. But I just couldnt bring myself to do it. The discount was tempting but Im glad I went with the tC. Had I gotten the pontiac, I would have never heard the end of pontiac insults from my friends/family. Besides the inside is hideous looking. Actually most american interiors or disgusting. What up with that?
The worst thing about cars like the Grand Am and various other crappy American sedans are the horrible brakes. The last time I had one as a loaner the brakes were smoking for about 15 minutes after I got home. I thought they were going to go up in flames. They usually had torquey V6s though, which made for lots of easy burnouts.
My loaner was a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 3 miles on it. HA! I was the first to drive it. Made them give me a loaner to check out rattles and radio cover and stuff, took them all day i demanded a rental HA! they agreed. Since their stupid shuttle is out of my area HE HE!

it is quite amazing that despite the luxurious interiors of many japanese and european cars, american car interiors still tend to be made of cheap material, feel like vinyl, and can't stand up to any level of wear.

I had pulled muscles from driving that car for a day. The steering wheel and pedals were equidistant from the driver's seat. In order to reach both, you had to sit far away with your arms fully extended, or sit close with your knees touching your chin. Worst car I ever drove.
