Grattan Raceway with my tC
I got the chance to go to Grattan raceway here in west michigan with my tC yesterday (memorial day) along with the Alfa Remeo club. I did get to drive my car on the track during the touring session in the afternoon for about 12 laps. Since it was just a touring session it wasn't hot lapping but for about 5 laps I was in front and behind two Suburu WRX's who were pretty intent on going fast through everything but the straight. So I got a good feel of what my car can do. Felt the tires warm up and get a little stickier, felt the car float over a blind hill at 75 :evil laugh:. I even got a little tiny backfire, it was so subtle I barely heard it. Like girl farts. Grattan is a really fun track, its got a little of everything.
Next time I will be more prepared. Unfortunately I wasn't even on planning touring and so I still had my subwoofers in the trunk which added a lot of weight. Right now the only performance upgrade I have are Tein h-techs. They help, but there is still a lot of body roll. I might replace them with the eibach prokit but the tein's are good for daily driving. This friday my new wheel and tires come in (Konig Crosshairs 18x8 and Nitto neo gens). Planning to add a rear sway bar soon as well a new i/h/e.
I have a few pictures from the track but unfortunately when I was touring my dad was at the helm of the camera....and well lets just say hes much better behind the wheel of his car.
A great picture of my rear wheel here.

Here is a picture of my Dad during the first class' race.

And last but not least a badass Boss 302 Mustang, just because.

I drove behind a Pantera DeTomaso just like this, only it was orange.
