Default Have a question about the A/C.

Is it just my car or when you have the A/C on and the car is on idle , the car shakes on and off. If i turn off A/C , the shaking will stop... i hope this is normal

Any one else see this or is it just me?

yeah, the a/c runs off of a pulley on the engine. it uses the engine to power it, which will create the added vibration. this is the way it is on every car. except maybe something super expensive like a bentley.
watch your RPMS when you switch on the a/c, they should rise a little

the shake should not be noticable but the pulley going on and off should.

well if it's shaking you like one of those massage chairs at sharper image, that's definitely not right.. you should make sure that the drivebelt (serpentine belt, on the left side of the engine) is sitting on the pulleys evenly..

another thing is that the engine mounts could be bad and needing to be replaced.. i've seen this on some of the manual tc's..
