Default HD Radio

Anyone have HD radio in your tC? I have satellite radio but sometimes I wouldn't mind listening to the local stations once in awhile if they sound good. My area has about 20 HD radio stations (including both 1 and 2).

I just got one for my girlfriend for a birthday gift (which is a month away). When i install it and she listens to it, i'll let you know if she likes it or not.
I bought the HD DICE that plug into your OEM Radio.

Thanks. I work at radioshack and have heard hd radio before but it was on a radio with crappy speakers. I can't wait to find out if it sounds good in a car or not. If you don't mind me asking how much was it?? Does your girl have a system?

i chose not to go with satellite radio cuz i don't leave the city and the two radio stations i do listen to happen to reach most of the cities close by.....plus there's still static with satellite radio and for my, i hate static....

as for HD, 99% of the stations i listen to in my area broadcast in HD, so that was a plus...then there's no static (as long as the digital signal comes in).....when there's no digital signal, it just switches to regular radio with a little static, but switches back shortly to HD.....HD sounds great even with stock speakers (which i'm swapping out soon)...no monthly fees....but most importantly...i can listen to the radio with my subs almost at max bass

my boss has satellite radio in his shop truck...i still hear static...when theres no signal, it's just silence...those two things just bug the crap out of me....plus there's that monthly/yearly fee

but sooner or later i'll break down and get satellite...i'm just waiting to see if they come out with satellite radio in HD...then i'll definably get it :D

Is that plug and play? I have a Pioneer navi headunit and Pioneer doesn't offer HD radio, or that I know of. I'm debating between HD radio and satellite.

She has a subwoofer with stock speakers atm, but I plan on putting 6X9's in the back(have to cut them in). I bought HD Dice on ebay for $108 shipped. It has the Scion wire harness, so the install should be a snap.

I have the eclipse avn5435, I would definitely get a hd radio if it weren't ridiculously priced for the add-on piece!!! Satellite radio is cheaper and offers more. After a while however, with monthly payments, satellite comes out to more, but it takes a couple of years to equal out!
