Default Help me with my tC xmod

I got an xmods tC for Christmas and I am having some problems. I put on the AWD and suspension mods and new wheels. I turned it on and the front wheels automatically turn to the left and I can't turn the wheels at all. Someone please help me!

The alignment thing is set all the way to the left. This was always my biggest problem with my Skyline Xmod because even when set center, it would never drive straight. Then I broke the mirror off, and into the closet it went.

No, its not fixable by adjusting the L and R on the remote control. The wheels immediately turn left when I turn it on whether the remote is on or not. And if I manually move the wheels to the center on my own, they automatically go right back to the left when I let go.

check the pinion (at least i think that is what it was called). make sure it is in correctly. i had the same problem when i first installed the AWD kit too, theres a little latch that goes right into the part so that it can align the wheels whenever you turn it on. i would show a picture but i sold my xmod :/

Got it fixed! I put in the tie rod incorrectly. I think ADR was on the right track. When you install the tie rod, make sure that the little peg that is down in the hole is in the middle of the tie rod tab. If it is off the side, you can only steer on direction.

What mods did everyone else get for their xmods? I got the suspension upgrade, AWD kit, racing (traction) tires, drifting tires, the body kit, and a couple other small items. I can't wait to race it. The only thing that sucks is that the garage isn't huge and there aren't any indoor areas that I can use it. Might take it up to the church gym and test it out sometime or some outdoor tennis courts though. Any body else have some ideas of where to use it?

I got one for christmas too. Today I went out and bought the AWD kit, metal bearings, head/tail light kit, and drift tires.

Next step is the suspension, stage 2 motor and 6 cell kit. I would've bought all of it today, but I didn't want me fiancee to see me spend close to $100 on this. $50 was enough for today.

I'd also recommend the metal bearing upgrade. It takes a lot of play out of the wheels and AWD system when you get it.

Thanks for posting that site ADR. Now I'm looking at upgrading a lot more, so if I spend way too much money on this thing, I'll be sure to blame you.

haha yea i used to be really into r/c cars. i had a dynamite 1/24 scale car that was just like an xmod... the best mod u can do is get lithium polymer (lipo) batteries and a charger... get a 3-cell and your car will scream. theyr really light and charge in 1 hourr.
