Default Help my middle console is not working properly.

I got my alarm installed in cali(im from AZ) at a local shop the alarm worked fine after they installed it. So this one night when I was driving the wires from my fuse came down and I accidently pulled on some of the wires while I was driving when i pushed my clutch down. Then suddenly my middle console started to act all weird on me.

When my car headlights are not on, my middle console will light up just fine. But when I turn my headlight on, some of the lights turn off on me. Some please help me I dont even know whats wrong with it. My friend told me its probebly something in my fuse but im a noob when it comes to that kind of stuff.

is there anyone who can help me on this or maybe someone from az who can look at it for me.

Headlights off.

headlights on.

Check the wiring and fuses.... but is it an 07? They have a common issue with the HVAC that behaves this way. Chances are you may have agitated it and caused the issue to pop up. I believe it is a connection related issue on them, so messing around back there could cause it to pop up.

Well i got my HVAC done by jeremy from garage1217 so i know for sure its not the LED's at all, he does really good work. yes my car is a 07 model, when Jeremy did my LED's he had a problem with my HVAC not turning on but luckly he had a extra one and replaced it with that one instead and it worked perfectly. it probebly is the fuse then.

That is not what I am talking about. The issue is with the stock HVAC connections. It can fail at any time, and messing around with them seems to agitate it. Jeremy does good work, so I am not saying that is the issue. However, it is always possible to have issues with that work. I have been doing tC led swaps since I did mine back in early 2005, and things can still go wrong. But this does not really sound like one connection on the board related to the led swap going bad.

However, the problem is known by Toyota on the 07's. They changed the HVAC module that year, and my guess is that a dimmer control connection is faulty in it. Chances are that when messing around with the other wiring and removing components, the connection was agitated and caused them to stop working. I would check the obvious first, but if it isnt that, there is a good chance that it is the other issue. You may have trouble getting it warrantied after the led swap though.

If you search around, you will see many people with this issue on thier 07's (this is also why my writeups on the HVAC mods warn about the 07's). Some have had the led mod, some have not, some failed right after buying the car, some a while later.

My '07's gear light for automatic hasn't come on since two weeks ago.

This wasn't the first time too.

But nothing like that.
