HELP MY STOCK HEAD UNIT WONT TURN ON!!!
Ok check it guys. I need help asap. Here's the dig:
I was moving my amp to the other side of the car. My whole system was working perfectly before this. I made extra sure to tape off any wires during the move, as to not short out a fuse. I was moving the speaker wire that connects the sub to the amp, and had to give it a slight yank. Right when i gave it that yank, the head unit turned off. This confused me, because the subwoofer's wire connection really has nothing to do with the head unit. I figured it was probably the result of another cable getting tugged and disconnecting something behing the HU. So I finished connecting the amp and all the good stuff. I go to my hood, and pull out #8 if I can recall correctly (#8th fuse on the diagram, under the hood by the battery.) The fuse was good, but fell in the fuse box. So at that point it was impossible to reach! I got frustrated and went to my local Wal-Mart, and bought a pack of 20 rating mini atm fuses (yellow ones). I drove back home and popped that sucker in, just to realize I was now, back to square one. I have tried everything!! I know that nothing shorted because I would have seen or heard a spark, and I know what I am doing here. I'm not a n00b when it comes to connecting systems. I have tried "power cycling" my car, if ya will. I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes. Connect it again, and back to the same s***. I got to the point where I took of the headunit, to see what the problem could be. All the wiring is intact. Nothing was unplugged. I decided to try unplugging it as well, and letting the HU power cycle. Put it back in, and still, no power. I tried holding the PWR button for 5 minutes straight. NOTHING IS WORKING! I dont wanna take it to the dealer and get told they can't help me since I put a really loud system in my car. I can take whatever pics you guys need to help me out, although I don't see why that would be necessary. Please reply to post, or email me @ gio_h_perez@yahoo.com
All help is GREATLY APPRECIATED

Ummm ... power button? lol. I really don't know. Ummm ... maybe you should reset the car (disconnect the battery). Maybe it will help ... or you could make sure you didn't short something else out ... or maybe ... polar bears can fly.
Well whether or not you heard or saw something, it looks like you killed the unit somehow - can you find another way to give it power to see if it comes on? It doesn't really matter how yo udid it - it looks like it's done. If it hasn't come back to life yet, it isn't going to. And you're right - the dealer probably won't warranty replace it. Considered just buying another stock head from someone on here or eBay? I bet people will let them go for not that much (I know I probably would).
Not to sound like an a$$ but you obviously are a noob if you yanked any wire that is attached to the cars electronics. if you yanked on a rca you might have caused the line out converter to short something inside the headunit, in all honesty with out knowing your set up we cant help you, do you have it set up like this Head Unit> line out tapped from the rear speaker wire at the HU> rcas to amp in back of car. with the remote and power wire on the driver side and the rcas on the passenger side?
First of all guys, I had yanked the wire that was connected to the SUBWOOFERS. This cable has nothing to with the internal cables (power cable rca cable etc). Yes that is the way my car is setup, but i yanked speaker wire not rca cables. Maybe the HU is fried. Im going to take my car 2 the dealership now, wish me luck :-(
