Hey guys,

I bought my HID 6000K here on SL 2-3 years ago from a reputable guy (he was also a sponser) and they have been working perfectly.

I noticed today that one of the lights have faded to a yellowish color (from the white/blue it usually has). I only noticed it because I pulled up to my garage and it was noticeably different from the other one. You can't tell from looking at the headlights itself but rather from the projection of the lights off a wall. What does that mean? Does it mean that the HID are starting to go bad?

Means the bulb needs to be replaced. After a long time the bulb begins to change colors meaning it's about to go out.

so should i stick with 6000K (which i liked cuz it was bright and white, but i like a little bit of blue also) or should i go wtih 8000K?

where's the best place to buy HIDs at (i only need the bulbs, ballast and all that good stuff i can reuse from my current setup).

do we still have a sponsored seller here on SL?

 

yeah... my 8000k's faded to a pure white color. They look like 6000ks now. :/

No worries though... ordered a new set! Hoping to get them Saturday.

 

alright, i think i'm gonna go with 6000k again and get them from hidextra.com (found them under the sponsored section of SL)

On my next set i kinda want 8000K, but I dont want to be a Police Probable Cause Magnet.
I like my nice white 6000K, they look like very bright Luminics Bulbs.
