Default Hit and run Saturday, break-in Monday

Lucky week...

Hit in run while I was in a 7-11 store for 5 mins on saturday, and now I wake up and see my car broken into.

Here in the first pic you can see the cop writing out a report, they broke into the silver galant in front of the cop car too, which is my neighbor's. The cop got a bunch of notices on his laptop about some more break-ins while he was writing out our reports so apparently the thieves had a busy night.

They got my ipod, case of CDs, sub box with two 12" subs, and 2 amps. They're sending a detective down to check it out since my losses and damages totaled to over a grand. One of the thieves apparently cut themselves on my rear windshield trying to take the box out so theres a bit of blood on my hatch lid, dunno if they will do anything with that.

**on a side note, they didnt succeed in taking my navi in my dash, they tried to pull out the center console but they just left it at that.**

Wow... that's rough. Is the neighborhood usually like that or was this kind of a freak occurrence? Insurance should cover most of it, I assume... right?

No, it's a relatively good suburban neighborhood, just with a relatively growing population of suburbian thugs in high school.

It's a freak occurance, least I hope so.

Man, did they really have to break almost every window? Do you have an alarm or no? That sucks, hopefully the insurance company takes care of you without any problems.

I thought about that too. It's one thing to break a window and steal all of someone's crap... but it looks like they just wanted to be even bigger dicks and make it worse.

The back hatch was still locked, so I guess they took out the subs and amp through there, which is pretty amazing since the sub box weighed about 60-70 pounds. The rear driver side window was broken to try and get in and grab the handle, which they found out was near the front, so they broke that window as well.

This is when an alarm is needed. Sucks people do that type of crap. Hopefully the insurance will take care of it.

Detectives just came and took a bunch of pics, jotted down some notes and took a sample of the blood. Dunno how much it'll do but I hope it leads to something, since there appears to be a string of these thefts in the area.
