has anyone tried putting in a visor installed with homelink on the scion tC? i was
looking on ebay and seeing various visors from different car models with homelink.
i would rather not spend 200-300 dollars on getting the special rearview mirror with
homelink.
would the installation be difficult for the visor with homelink? would any visor work?

 

I had thought about doing it in one of my old cars and I never found the parts to do it for any cheaper than just getting a mirror. I'm sure you could find something from a Lexus RX300 or an Audi A4 in a junkyard somewhere though. Sounds like a fun project, actually.

ohhh i see, yeah now i've heard of that, i thought that was available on tc's??? maybe it was just sumthin' i read in the dealership about other cars or sumthin

 

It's available on the mirror. To be honest, it's been a great thing to have.
