Default hope to pick up tC today...

my tC came in yesterday... at first i wasn't going to get the car but after i saw it i love it more than all other cars i had in past.

it's indigo ink pearl 5spd, it didn't came with anything but carpet and mats ($145). i currently have 2003 nissan sentra se-r spec v. it's a very nice and fun little car but other than that it's not really pratical, what i meant by pratical is interior space. i ran into the same problems with 2002 corolla before, that's why i got the spec v because interior was 'slight' bigger.

major reasons i'd like to get the tC is 1) interior space 2) color; spec v is sunburst yellow... i'm not a fancy person (i have no idea why i picked out that color at that time. 3) i started to have tranny problems and nissan isn't doing anything but ignoring me.

the guy told me they had one coming in in 2-3 weeks and i put down $500 2 weeks ago. all was under the intention wanting to see what is sooo damn good about the car, after seeing i'm sold. i think the car's final price is $18,700, after doc fee, tax, delivery charge... etc. i still owe $15,500 on my spec v and HOPEFULLY i get at least $11,000 for my trade-in. i just can't be upside-down for more than $4,000.

when i first traded in my 02 corolla S for spec V i was upside-down for $3,400. i got the extended 10 years warranty (useless because nissan can't reproduce my tranny problems according to them) for extra $1,000 something. so spec v was $18,000+$3,400+1,000+tax and stuff.... all came out to be around $23,500 roughly i forgot what was the final price. i financed my spec v with 48month 3.9% APR (at that time i was 22; no, my credit is ok think i was lucky that day).

i plan to keep around the same monthy payment ($365) and same insurance (might be lower because lower HP but it's coupe). only if the dealership gives me good money on my trade-in. i plan to lease the car because i am starting to find out i like new car after a while... like every 1-2 years so i think it's a better idea to lease the car in case 2 years down the road i changed my mind again.

my questions is this, i plan to haggle my trade-in and final APR with Scion... are these 2 hagglable? i know you can't haggle on the pure pricing. wish me good luck today, hope i get to be a new tC owner by today.
