Default How do I activate my 3-months free XM radio service?

I tried calling the number, but I wasn't willing to wait hella long for a response. I tried the web site but it's asking for my credit card info and such. Anyone activated theirs yet?

i would imagine that you call the number they provided and "wait" for someone to activate it at the number they provided. satellite radio is activated via the telephone with the esn of your unit.

theres no activation fee if u got the subscription for freee just call in and wait for sumone to answer i know it'll seem like an eternity but u got to do it. to speed up the process have your car out side in clear view of the sky so the satellites have a clear view at your antenna also go to channel zero so you can get your radio id.

Your subscription is free you will not need to pay anything at this time unless they want you to pay for after your subscription is over but i doubt they will and if u dnt just say you dont want to at this time.

That's because if you decide to keep your XM active after the 3-Month trial, they have your info and can bill you so you don't have any interruption to your service. I'm sure you could cancel after the 3-months is up. When I signed up for Sirius, it took me all of like 5 mins on my computer to get the tunes rolling. XM should be pretty much the same way.

Just call the toll-free number and tell them that you just bought a Scion with "free 3 months of service". I think the old code was XMSCION03. Free activation included. They didn't ask for CC info. Make sure you have your radio code before you call (tune to channel 000 on the radio). If you want to continue subscription after the 3 months call back and tell them you heard about a $77/year promo and see if they'll give it to you. Call back and try another operator if the 1st one doesn't give it to you.
Personally I think XM sounds like a really crappy MP3, so I'll stick to my ipod nano for tunes.

Okay, I got it after waiting hella long on the phone. Any good channels, so far I haven't heard any good tunes. And ichiban, $77 a month, I may subscribe to that.

I got the same deal from Kearny Mesa Scion, and I didn't even have to call Sirius, the sales guy took care of everything for me.

Great choice. Ever since I got Sirius 5 months ago, I haven't listened to anything other than "Reggae Rhythms", channel 32.

That Channel 32 is for Sirius, not XM. You want Channel 101. Here's the channel guide for ya. Click HERE. You're welcome!

THere should have been a channel guide in your glove box. Of course somebody also said there should have a been a promo code in there too, but I didn't get one, just the guide. I think ch 20 was good. It's like the top 20 songs based on some website you can vote at. So either the HU sounds like a tin can or the XM does.... I'm gonna try the other scion-car modes and see if it gets better. Right now I'm using xA and I swear XM music sounds like it is underwater in a submarine with screen doors!

Before I switched out my HU, I used the "xB" setting on "Feel". Seems like a nice medium between the "xA" ('Highs' are just that; too high) & "tC" (Can barely even hear this setting.).
