Default How Hard

So my brother came back from Iraq today on leave and it is the first time he has seen my new car. Naturally he wanted to take it out for a spin. Well we got going about 60 and he took a corner a little hard and ended up hitting the curb a little. Well hitting a curb at high speeds in a tC is not the greatest I know but it didnt seem to do any damage. Although I did not dirve it the rest of the way home and I has not driven it since and he hasn driven it enought to be able to tell if something was off. Anyways I think its all good because the allignment didnt pull and well the tire didnt blow when he hit. So my question is what it the worst pot-hole/ whole in general you guys have hit? I have to say I have only had my 08 tC for about a month and I am very impressed by how well it stood up.(first foreign car so I have had my doubts, but not any more)

get the alignment checked FO SHO. hitting a manhole cover wrong can throw the alignment out. no doubts man, go to firestone and get a lifetime alignment, youll thank your self.

It was like 11 PM and it didnt have any noticable pull or noises so I havent dirven it yet. Tomorrow if I drive it and something feel wrong Im def going to take it in to get checked out. Point I was making is that the car I had before this one was a 2001 Blazer ZR2 package and that thing would probaly have broken if I hit the curb at that speed, and its ment for off roading. If nothing is wrong I am going to be seriously impressed.

Please tell me that's a major exaggeration of speed.
If you were actually going that fast be thankful you didn't pop a tire and/or lose control.

Sounds like he did lose control momentarily...

Better tell your brother to pay up for repair work, if it's needed.

There's a real crappy road near my house that has been getting worked on for 865 years. On that going about 55-60, and there was a patch of uneven pavement. Didn't see it and slammed it. Put a bubble in my tire and scared the s outta me. I've since changed my shocks and struts and had it alligned so I don't think it did any damage besides my tire.

worst thing hit in the grey tC coming down an on ramp that was a pretty tight corner I pushed the limit a little too much and slid in the end right into a curb and cracked one of the enkeis and had to get a new set of wheels because they stopped making the J10 in the color I had. lame.

yup get your alignment checked and upgrade your suspension if you want to see what the tC can really do : )
