OK, I've read a lot of complaints about the Scion tc's air conditioning, and I agree, it's pretty weak. Should I expect similar results for the heater?

It's just about to start getting cooler here, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I'll need heat.

 

My A/C and heat works very well.

 

The heater blows...hot air.

 

Not sure what the complaints are about. The A/C on my '07 gets very cold very quickly, and the heater heats very well (only used in once here in LA, and that was to dry my clothes after a day at the beach).

 

Want some bad AC? Go drive a Mazda 3

AC and heat work great! The problem is that the car has a glass roof that heats up the car in the summer. But even so, the AC is more than adequate. I get in and out of my car at least 20 times a day, since I drive from appointment to appointment for my job.

I live in Arizona and it gets hot as F uck out here and my AC works awesome. Heat works well too. I used to live at the beach and it got cold in the winter and heat was awesome

 

I'd say my AC is a tiny bit slow, although very cold after a while... but the heat is pretty great

 

I sort of feel my AC to be a little low too but my heater works fine.

 

i think in NC you'll be fine.

 

Maybe for the heater aspect. But not for the water! Sheesh, we're in stage 3 for water restrictions. Can't wash by beautiful Black Cherry Pearl or even my car.

Stupid drought

Got too much pollen, and not enuf water. And I'm not spending $15 at Autobell!

 

Same with LA... The way water reserves are going, it's going to be cheaper to wash the car with gasoline instead of water! ...that is, if you don't blow up in the process. LOL

 

I don't use the a/C much at all, but when I have I think its as cold as it needs to be. I think the heat is VERY nice.

 

when its around 100 degrees it does seem to take a long time for the AC to reach its full potential.. over 15min sometimes, but then its ICE Cold.

yea my a/c works great havent had a chance to use the heat yet.

 

The tC's a/c is decent. But yes, I've been in other Toyotas where it's much colder.

My wife's Solara has a much stronger A/C. It has a bigger compressor.

What I don't like about the tC is its vents. I have a hard time aiming them directly at me. The slightest nudge and it's a beyotch to move them back.

 

AC works fine...tint the windows and AC cools down the car MUCH faster, also close your sunroof shade thingies.

Both heat and AC only take a few minutes to get going.
