to all you new owners: enjoy your ride... these are nice cars, stock or modded. We have 16k miles already on my wife's, and even before we put on the sc we both enjoyed the looks/performance ( now even more so ). And it is one solid value for an affordable performance type coupe.
Again, have fun & congrats...

Hey guys! I'm picking up my Flint Mica tC tomorrow night, after a loooong and frustrating wait. The only mods I ordered with the car were the iPod stereo and the pedestal spoiler, which turned out to be backordered (hence my long wait). I ordered a bunch of extra things from www.mcgeorgeparts.com, including the floor mats, door sills, pedals, cargo net, and a new shift ****... that website has such great deals, especially for things that you can install yourself. Looking forward to putting it all together! No major performance mods planned for the future... tinting in the next week or so, and maybe springs at some point to close up that wheel well gap. I'm also thinking about getting pink footwell/cupholder lights installed (I'm such a girlie girl!). Does anyone know if there are any tail lights available for the tC besides the TYC lights offered by the dealer? I'd love to find something a little more clear...

Thanks everyone!

I traded my 2006 Honda Civic in for this car. I had so many problems that Honda actually wrote me a check for $1100 to make up for my time lost bringing my car back and forth to the dealer 7 times. So with that check in hand, I bought my Scion...and Scion even gave me a better interest rate!!
welcome. what kind of problems with the new civic? im assuming a non-si with the r18 engine.
I had a major vibration in the steering wheel, and that was after balancing, alignment, replacing all four tires, replacing all 4 wheels and tires again, and they still havent figured it out.
I also had an issue with the dash HVAC control lights. They stopped working after hitting a bump, and then would come back on after another one. They replaced the control unit twice. I dont doubt Honda quality....but that car was a LEMON!!! They even paid me to keep quiet.

lol, that sucks. yeah, from my experience, and what i have seen, it seems like honda is just cutting costs any way they can on their mainstream cars. for example, on my 2004 civic, with 48k miles on it, the transmission went out, and yes, it was a manual, and yes i know how to drive a manual. basically the input shaft bearing and throwout bearing were partially comprised of plastic.

same thing for accord owners with their automatics, and almost all 7thgen owners (01-05 civic) with their automatics. even people with stock engines are getting fat holes in their blocks. with their performance models, it seems all is well, like the s2000 and civic si and rsx. the rsx had some tranny problems in 02-03 though.

your case seemed like the car was a lemon for sure, however. but im sure if you didn't have any of those problems you would still have more major problems just a few thousand miles out of warranty. i sure don't trust honda anymore.

I've had my 06' Nautical Blue tC since mid October and it is such a cool ride. I miss all the attention I use to get from it but maybe it's old news now? I guess some modifications would help out a little bit but I'm saving those idea's for later.

What I don't understand is all the xB's around Vegas? They're more common than the tC and the tC's look better (also drive better.) No knocks to anyone that has an xB but c'mon; what's up with that?

I know how you feel. The wait just about killed me. To make it worse on the day I was supposed to get the car they called and said they needed another day to get the parts on the car. But I have it now and im loving every minute of it.

Talked to the dealer earlier today and they said the car should be at the lot on Tuesday. Im just hoping its true. The wait is unbearable.

Hey. I'm new this whole forum stuff and what to really be doing. Learn as I go I guess. Directed here to introduce myself. Here's what I had to say:

Hello! Wanted to give a shout out. I've had my car for 6 months now and loving it. My requirements for getting this new set of wheels was to learn how to drive a stick shift. Never knew how much fun they are! I know it's better to have mods done with manual. Get more out of it. I was told this was a good website for info and meeting people with same interests as I. We'll see....

I picked mine up last week.. BSP 5spd.. I went in to see if there was a tC at this dealership, wasnt even going to get one yet, because 5spds are hard to come by unless you order one.. Well i looked out there and one had SOLD on it, but found out the buyer dropped out of the deal. WOW!!! Lucky.. Did the deal, and now i am driving my NEW 06 BSP 5spd!!!! All it had on it was teh upgraded stereo.. I was so happy that i lucked out... SWEEEEEEEEEEET!! Love this car!! I will be looking into the SC for it.. But JoTech is located here and i might just check them out.. LAter...

Congrats man. My situation was just like yours. Went to the dealer ship to try to test drive one and check it out. And it just so happened there was a Silver one on the lot. It was a cancelled order from a guy so it just sat there, and we took it.

I just got my tC last Thurday, and am elated! Only downside is that I had to trade in my xB RS1.0. I'll miss my box. I got a 06 BSP.

Wish me luck on re-learning stick =)

I had a problem getting mine too. They ordered my car and actually sold it out from under me!! I had to wait another month for my car. It was still worth the wait however
