The "I AM GETTING / HAVE A NEW tC!!" Thread
^^^ you may have to put down a deposit ( amount which can vary from dealer to dealer ), which is part of your purchase price. You do sign an offer; and when you take actual delivery of the car you will sign both the legal papers ( registration, etc ) as well as any financing papers. The financing can be done either at the dealer if you went thru their office, or at your own bank if you handled that on your own. As for your 1st payment, that is normally 30-45 days after you take delivery, again something set up when you handle the financing. Note some of this may vary from state to state; but should be close. Hope that helps.
thanks guys for the reply. Right now I recently sold my tacoma and the buyers waiting for her loan process to finish. so as for right now, im on the hunt to finding an fm tC. I guess one good advantage that I have is a friend of mine is a salesman/manager at a toyota dealership, so he can find one for me easily.
I am 6'4" and weight in at 275, so i am a big buy, i am comfy. I keep the seat down all the way and a bit reclined but not all the say back on the rails though. I fit alright. I can even sit behind my seat the way i have it and its alright, getting into the back is fine. Headroom in the back for me is a bit tight but i dont care since i am the driver and its my car, lol.
I got my RS2 a week ago. It's a fun car to drive and over all I am very please so far! I was looking at buying a civic but I am so glad I didn't and went with the TC. Saw the RS2 by mistake and ended up buying it. Best car (tC) for your dollar no doubt.
I'm finally on track in getting my own tc in one week!! I finally sold my Tacoma yesterday and my friend, (who works in a toyota dealership) told me An Fm tc is coming in next mon/tue/or wed so he will let me know. He also reserved that car for me without putting a deposit on it! I can't wait! They're only getting two cars in this shipment. An FM, and an RS2.0. Can't wait!
Hello everyone again!
Welp my post got locked, and that's cool I understand. Wanted to clarify some things in the post I made though. I know ALLLLLL about using the search function (the other car board I've been on for 4+ years, has grown to over 30,000 people, and they're ALWAYS yelling at the newbies to search). The reason I didn't post in here, was because I seen another "new tC owner" type thread down there and thought it might be ok (which is not locked?) I asked about the "lunging" while driving down the road, and was explained that it was the "drive by wire" technology. I did some reading in some of the facts/problems threads, and it mentioned the drive by wire thing, but didn't say that THAT would cause the lunging, so I thought I'd ask and make sure it's normal and that was the cause.
Just a little confusion on my end, with my half functioning brain after work lol. Sorry about that.
Anywho's, the story as to how I got into my 2005 Scion tC is kinda interesting. I'd been thinking of getting a new car for some time now. In the past 6 months or so on my 1995 Pontiac Sunfire GT I'd replaced a blown brake line (which went WHILE I was driving), coil pack, had a hose blow out of the crank case WITH the fitting still attatched, my clutch went out, and now my axel is going bad... so I had off of owrk on Friday and decided to see what kind of financing I could get through this second chance auto financing program (made some credit boo boo's when I was younger) which happened to be at Diehl Toyota/Scion.
On the way to work on Thursday, I seen a VERY sexy lookin tC... and was thinking "hmmm... wonder if I could get into one of those". The dealership was deat set on getting me into a Suzuki Reno or Firenza... first the Reno. I told them I wouldn't even consider it because there was none in a stick. Then they tried getting me into the Firenza. I told them "hey, I really love my Sunfire... and if I'm going to be stuck in a loan for the next 5 years, it's gotta be into something I'm going to enjoy driving, not hate driving... and basically told them 'thanks for your help, but I can't do it".
The salesman tells me to wait outside, comes back out and tells me that they have a 2005 Scion tC 5spd that they can get me into, and went for a test drive. After that, they gave me my monthly payments, I crunched some numbers, and got a new car. I sold my Sunfire for 1k and put a down payment on her,... picked her up on Saturday. The Sunfire will be getting picked up on the 29th. I'm the President of an all GM club, never thought I'd ever get into an import, but I'm loving EVERY minute of it!! An added bonus is that they hold their value very well!! So, here she is!! (the tC)

Hey everyone!! I am new to the Scion world and getting my black sand pearl at 3pm tomorrow and can't wait!!! I am getting stock with no mods right now. I have a dad that works at Toyoto and I can get the extras at their cost with free install!!! So I make out on that big time!
I just got an Azure Pearl TC. I'm loving it. It's a rare color. I see a lot of other TC owners staring at my car. My dealer wouldn't shut up about how Azure Pearl makes up only 1% of the TC's out there. I just like the color. My mods are a pedestal spoiler, fog lights, TYC racing lights, upgraded stereo, racing shift **** and racing pedals. It rules. If you're thinking of getting one, do it. I will be posting pics as soon as the factory finishes installing my new toys.
If you're in Houston, go to Champions Toyota and ask for Chris. 20 minutes, in and out, now I have to just wait till the summa'_____ comes in from port.
BTW, superchargers are cool.

Thanks! I'm glad I didn't listen to all those people talk about a car that they've never seen in person or sat in. The grill and wheel finish work very well with the bright blue color.
