New here along with my tC. Traded my 03 OZ Lancer for a 06 tC 2 weeks ago. When I first saw the tC I knew I had to get it. Today is the first time I had a little time with the new house and work, so she is getting a nice wax down. Can't wait to throw on some upgrades. I call her "mustC", get it? Ain't really much to look at stock, but she still looks great with the dark blue paint job.

I just picked up my FM tC a few hours ago. I got the OEM ground effects kit, foglights, and side airbags. The best thing is that I had to wait only 1 week for it to get in. I ordered it last friday, and it was here today! I'm going to go get a tint, get a drop, and change my rims out.

Had around 7 miles when I got it.

Ok I need an opinion. My dealership has been giving me a run around for 2 weeks now on my car. First it was "I'll have it here in two days" then it was monday, tuesday, thurs, friday ect ect. Every other day hes telling me It'll be ready to pick up tomorrow, so of course everytime I make arrangements to pick it up; get coverage at work and all that jazz. Everytime last minute I get a call with one excuse after the other. The main delay has been that it was on the way to the dealership, which is fine I understand thats out of his control. However its there now, down the street from the dealership on the lot just waiting for someone to drive it over and Im still getting shrugged off like "oh its been busy Ill see what I can do". I'm not trying to be one of those pain in the butt impatient customers, if he would have just been straight with me from the start and told me it would take awhile it would be fine but this calling me every other day saying itll be ready tomorrow and then blowing me off at the last minute is driving me insane. A friend of mine at another Toyota dealership is telling me I should just go down there and tell them to go get my car or give me my money back. I'm not really sure what I should do at this point wait it out, or go down there.
I realize 2 weeks is really nothing compared to what a lot of you seem to have waited for your cars, but this guys just stressing me out

Is it the dealership, or just a certain salesperson that you are dealing with at that particular dealership?

Have you thought of finding another dealership in the area?

Just let this current dealership know you are unpleased with their service and you will be leaving to get your car elsewhere.

Its one sales person that Im dealing with. I hate to go somewhere else since this dealership offered me the most for my trade-in. Plus I already left them a deposit on it. They were very helpful and the whole sales process was smooth and easy but the actual getting-the-car-process has been a huge headache.
I just dont want to go down there and demand my car and look like a jerk

the customer is always right. I would talk to the manager and tell him what is going on then throw out that maybe you should have gone somewhere else. You won't look like a jerk, its your car and you want it. It can be hard with work and all so I would be ____ed off too if I was you. You could always just not call them and ignore them, make it seem like the car is nothing to you now.

I hear ya! If I didnt get such a good deal on my trade I wouldnt have been able to get it. I have a 2000 VW beetle TDI(gag) that I paid $6500 for 2 years and 85K miles ago and after some hustling theyre giving me $6000 for it for trade. Thats bringing it down to a much more comfortable $11 and change

You know, ..if I ever get my car heh

LOL yup!. my 2002 civic ex has 50,700 miles on it and I SO WANTED a scion tc but i don't think i wanna owe 18,000 and some change on a car yet...I love those tc's though but i'm torn. i also love honda. i know that if i were to trade in my 02 civic ex for a 05 civic ex that i wouldn't be paying 18,000 dollars for it. cause theres no way i'll EVER pay that much for a 05 civic. you'd have to be stupid to sell one of those cars for that much LOL!. i'll probably end up paying after tax, tag and title for a 05 civic. like maybe 16,500 or something like that. or maybe even less!. I think i may keep it honda after all. Besides, i'm a honda enthusiast!. I know ALOT about honda and honda civics SINCE i tune them....it's funny, alot of people at a honda forum site i go to tell me to get a scion tc if i "had to choose" LOL. i can't believe them saying that to me....i don't know guys and girls. i'm still un-decided. BTW, i still owe 9,400 dollars on my civic. and it's in GREAT shape!. I wonder how much a honda dealership would give me for it in a trade for an 05 version of the same car. LOL.

So I called this morning and the sales guy told me he found out that the whole problem with getting the car over from the lot is that the mechanics that have to inspect it before I can take it are on vacation for memorial day weekend. He said they wont be in till tuesday but if I wanted to come down and fill out the rest of the paperwork before then he'd deliver it to me as soon as they checked it out and get me some free oil changes or something. Soooo hopefully Tuesday I can finally bid my lime green beetle adieu.

Hey all! I just wanted to make my first post here as I am getting a Release Series 2.0 and am so anxious . It will be a few weeks until it gets here as it just got into port a few days ago. Now for me my only delemia is what to do about the auto armor option as I don't know if it is worth it ($895) for the whole package (auto armor) but I will research this in the forums. So I am just really happy to find a good community for Scion owners and I actually found out about this site by the dealer (who has a xB RS 3.0).

whats up man, i was one of the people telling you to get a tc, along with most other people there, that still own civics. the reason for this is because with the 7thgen, honda kinda messed up, and the overall quality isn't there, like the 6thgen civics. ridiculous things happen to the civics, like normal people getting holes in their blocks from normal driving, sticky tires causing transmission bearings to fail, and the torqueless wonder known as the d17a1/2. i know it's a honda economy car, its just that even the 6thgens, cars that have smaller motors, similar weights, etc, are a lot quicker and more nimble than the 7thgens.

that's why people are telling you that getting another 7thgen wouldn't be a good idea. i mean, if you were going to pay more money, you might as well get something nicer/more powerful/better than the car you already have.

it's pretty good quality, aside from a few rattles (really no more rattles than a 7thgen though.)

hey man whats up!?. yeah i understand bro. it's just that sometimes i get scared of owing so much money for a car. going from a 9,000 dollar car to a 18,000 dollar car you know?. The salesmanager at my job knows the salesmanager at toyota and they said that they'll put in good word for me and let the salesmanager know i'm on my way overthere when i'm ready to deal. i'm wondering if i SHOULD take them up on it and see if somehow i can get a miracle happen for me there. what do you think? maybe i should stop with this sillyness "i want another civic" and get myself into a scion tc right?. i should look at the possible good things that are right in front of me and go along with this.

i can be really stupid sometimes.

Hi. Are you going to get a 2006 tC or wait and see what the new models look like?

The 07s are going to look exactly the same on the outside with only a different seat pattern and an upgraded tire pressure thing. I might be forgetting something else, but I know it was nothing major.

i'm waiting to see what the new ones look like, although like theblue said i'm pretty sure nothing has changed except for some minor stuff that no one cares about. unless their "updated seat fabric" gives handys
