The "I AM GETTING / HAVE A NEW tC!!" Thread
This is my first post here. Just figured i'd jump in on this forum since i'm hopefully getting my new tC tonight. Ordered it 3 weeks ago today, been driving around the dealer's xD for those 3 weeks. As far as I know, i'm getting one of the first 2009 tC's to hit the Cincinnati area, which makes me very happy. It should be getting off of freight any minute now.
Getting a SuperWhite '09 tC with Premium Audio and Floor Mats. And i'm hoping they'll throw in a shift **** for my 3 week wait, but i'm sure they don't really care how long i've waited. Haha.

After talking to the dealership again today, the date has yet again been pushed back. It was originally scheduled to arrive between June 27th and July 7th, and they said typically its the earlier date, so it should have been there within the 3-5 days they told me. Well today is July 7th and I called and they said that the car should be arriving at another dealership between July 7th and July 10th, and then they will have to complete a dealer trade and pick the car up. So basically, the date just keeps getting push back further and further.
GRR. I just want my tC! I'm tired of driving around that xD and hitting my head on the ceiling everytime I hit a bump..

I believe in another thread I read that some of the east coast '09s are stuck at port due to a company shutting down.
Don't quote me on that but there are probably issues at port if they keep pushing the date back.

Yea. So I called another dealership thats not too far from the one where I bought mine. According to them, they have a Super White 2009 that they've had for a while. It has a lot of accessories I don't want, but why couldn't they just take it off and trade with the dealership I bought mine from? Well according to them, there is some ''bad blood'' between the two dealerships and they don't trade. Talk about customer service..
So here I am, stuck waiting still. Oh well, i'll just keep on waiting, and waiting, and waiting.. The guy at the other dealership said that 2 dealers within 500 miles each have one SuperWhite that is on ground status, meaning it should be there within a few days. So maybe they're right this time and i'll be expecting it sometime soon (with 100+ miles on it). And they better hope they don't brand my new car with their dealership's logo..

IF they really wanted to sell you that '09 SW w/ all the accessories than they would of removed some of them. They might sell it at base price with a couple accessories to give you more incentive. The dealerships you're speaking with honestly don't have much concern for their customers.
If there's a 100+ miles on a '09 then I would look else where IMO because thats pretty unacceptable.
If they 'brand' your car then take a blow dryer to it and carefully remove it(I'd be more worried when they drill holes in your front bumper).

so i got my tc about 2 weeks ago and started ripping at it the first day. first off i got debadged the rear, then got my taillights tinted since the 09 tails are hideous, then i tinted my turn signals, lowered on s techs, changed front and rear dome lights to blue led, shorty antenna, and i just ordered my new grill. now if that is only in two weeks who knows what else is to come lol

I'm so very very annoyed by all of this. After calling everday for the last 3 weeks trying to figure out when my car will be in, all I get is 'we'll have to let you know'. I'm holding hope that they will be able to get the car before this weekend.. but I doubt it. I've told them not to brand my car and to get one that doesn't have holes in the front bumper (Ohio requires front and rear plates) so that I could just mount it myself or slap it on the dashboard and take the risk of a ticket. When they finally do make that call telling me that they have my car, i'm going to go up there, discuss some free accessories, and hope for the best. But i'm not too sure how they will handle that situation. I'm not sure how freely they are able to make deals on accessories..? Can anyone advise me on that situation? How pushy should I be? A free short-shifter would be nice, and i'll do the installation. Haha. If anyone has experience/scion sales person/or know someone who is, let me know how they would handle the whole me asking for free accessories deal would turn out (before I burn the building down).
...And to the Schmevin1234, regarding your signature about looking for a '09 tC CAI. The 2009 is a roll-over from 2008 and the only differences that i'm aware of are the 2009 tC Owners Manual, and the seat cloth. Therefore, you should be able to buy any '08 compatible CAI and it would work on your '09. (your signature might be sarcasm, and if so, then this post was entirely sarcastic as well
)
Well.. I got my car now. I didn't do too much complaining. Even when I got there and sat for 2 hours while they got the paperwork ready/detailed my car and the fact that it had 288 miles on it, my mud guards and floor mats had to be ordered so I still have to wait on them (even though i've already waited almost 4 weeks for the car). Oh, and they scratched my dashboard when putting in my upgraded cd player..
Anyways, I love the car. Its beautiful in white and the tails and headlights really go well with the white. Should be getting tint sometime soon, just to compliment the white even more.

Yes these are old pictures. I have not had time to take pictures after tint.
