I CALL IT "ASM" (ANTI-STARTER MECHANISM)
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
HELLO EVERYONE... I BELIEVE I FOUND OUT A REALLY COOL THING ABOUT THE (SCION TC)... IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE I'VE BOUGHT MY 2009...
BECAUSE THE CAR IS SO QUITE, I FORGOT THE CAR WAS ALREADY STARTED SO AS I TURN THE STARTER KEY, THE CAR JUST SIMPLY SHUTS OFF INSTEAD OF SCREWING UP YOUR STARTER...
WOW!!! FANTASTIC!!! VERY SAFE MECHANISM...
WOULD BE NICE IF ALL FUTURE CARS ARE EQUIPT WITH THIS FEATURE....
???WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS FEATURE???

my thoughts are look at the gauges and the RPM's not at 0 would tell you that the car is running.
Really though the only way to really do that is to get the computer involved in the starting process. Which that elimnates the simplicity of a Toyota. GM already does this but then you have to deal with all their crap

have you ever driven a new cadillac? you gotta turn the caddy on and wait a few seconds for the computer to boot.. in those couple of seconds, nothing in the car works.. the windows wont roll down, seats wont move, driver profile takes a couple of seconds to load as well.. its a pain IMO

Well that is good to know since I almost did this yesterday. But like it was said, I just looked at the RPMs to see if it was on and it was. I learned that trick from the older cars I have owned.

I don't make the rules. I enforce them. If you don't like it... well... tough. They're the rules.

^^talking in all caps is considered yelling, and yelling is disrespectful and basically annoying. i dont see why you cant comprehend that LOL

"On Internet chat systems, forums and Usenet, typing a sentence in all capitals is considered rude, the large letters akin to shouting or yelling within the social context."
