Nice I will probably put this on the low priority side of the budget since I have my ghetto fabulous suction cup mount for my digi cam that hangs from the sunroof I have too many other things to pay for this spring to do this right now unfortunately.

Firesquare,
Dont worry about modding the car before you autox, just enter it in hstock until you get it modded. No need to skip out on the fun just because it is stock!

Wow, I really want this thing. I've seen it advertised in the SCCA mags I get, but it never really occurred to me what it was really like.

I shot this latest one with the rubber seal removed, so you can tell there is a lot more sound to it. There are also sound settings to change the sensitivity. Both of these videos are on the low setting.

One more... this time, with the rubber seal in place - but the mic sensitivity set to Hi this time. As you'll be able to tell, a LOT of wind noise.

The wind noise is hard to get rid of.

For my ghetto mount on the digi cam inside the car, I get a lot of wind noise just from the wind coming in the windows. I am thinking of taping a cotton ball over the mic to see if that helps :D So it will be ghetto squared!

There is a guy in our autosports club that has a camera setup with the mic input run to the back of the car. On the bumper. That way he gets the sound of the exhaust without all the wind. Of course, this is a pretty big setup... a bit more than I am willing to do!

Ya, I'm thinking I'm just going to have to leave the mic sensitivity on Low, no matter if I have the seal in or not. I don't think there's any way to run anything external with this setup, I'll just have to work with it.

I gotta find out from the locals hot to get into some solo events. I'm just on S-techs and 195/50 15's 15X8 sportmax's

i have been looking for a harness bar for the longest! i can pick up a decent reclining bucket "race" seat but would like something to hold on to me when i'm hitting the corners. lol

You will most likely find you dont like the stechs pretty quickly... but dont let you mods (or lack of ones you want) keep you out. It is usually super easy to get into autox. Definitely the regular guys form of competing!

Search for local autosports clubs and/or a local scca chapter. SCCA.org is a good place to start.

Ya, it's often considered better to get started when you haven't done much and then you can really learn the car and how to drive. Then as you progress, start adding parts that you think will help.
