Default I predict a heavy demand for tC wheels

Are the new xB and xD owners gonna want the stock tC wheels now that they will fit? I think their prices will go way higher than they've been. What do ya think?

uhm...no

there are lots of other toyotas and other cars that tc wheels will fit. how many do you see people running? just a few in the ricer tater thread.

why would they buy used rims that we want to change anyway when for the same price or so, they can pick whatever set they desire?

is the new xB and xD 5x100? hopefully toyota wised up and made them 5x114.3 like most other japanese manufacturers.

5x100 is a dying pattern. VW made the switch to 5x112 for the new Jetta/Rabbit/GTI/TT. The next WRX is rumored to be 5x114.3 since the STI switched in 2005. With the new Corolla coming out soon and new tC in 2-3 years, Toyota can eliminate 5x100 as well.

I've seen celica and matrix with stock tc rims in my area. Sure next gen. xb and xd owners could put them on their rides but not too many IMO cuz they won't look that good.

i dont know, i sold my civic si rims (ones from 99-00) for nearly 300 bucks and they were crap! There is a set of rims called HX rims, 14" and 11 lbs each and they go for the same price. The sad thing is, is that these rims came on the base of the base line hondas. Think of the spec tC with actual rims instead of steelies.

I think it could be possible to a slight extent, but only so much.

I'm only thinking this because there are plenty of 1st gen xB owners (me included) that think the tC wheels would look hot on xA/xBs. Guess time will tell once people start getting xd/xb 2nd gens and realize they have another Scion wheel option.

I hope Scion or TRD releases optional 18" wheels for 2nd gen. xb and xd just like they did it for tC and 1st gen. xb and xa. So we tC owners can share them

5x114.3 is not better than 5x100, but its significantly more popular among japanese auto manufacturers so there are significantly more wheels options (OEM and aftermarket).

The following new cars are 5x114.3 (obviously not counting 4 lug cars): all honda/acura, all lexus/toyota (except matrix, corolla, tC, prius), all nissan/infiniti, all mitsubishi, all mazda.

well most rim company makes their wheels in dual lug pattern with 5x100/5x1143.. and alot make them seperate too.. its just a matter of what wheels the owner wants for their car..

also i've seen alot of the newer corolla with tc rims.. especially at my old job at DTC corolla owners come in and want us to mount up tc rims for their cars... eh

The brochure stated 18" on the xD. They show a pic of them installed on a red xD in the latest brochure I got from Scion Corp. in the mail.
