haha, this happens soooo much with this intake. i was SUPER careful and took apart any body parts that would scratch it. i even wrapped the pipe in cloth 1st and then did it.
if its the black. i would try some Duplicolor paint/scratch fixer like they would use on a black car. just a little touch up kit from Autoparts store.
for polish...i dunno maybe wet sand it?

The best idea is to use a metal polish and work on it. If they are too deep, you are probably up a creek... and would have to pursue more professional means.
