Default Injen CAI- Vibrating noise when gas pedal is pushed....

I am not sur eif anyone else is having this problem......For some reason, my Injen CAI i guess is tapping onto either my wheel cover, or something else. I can hear it everytime i first push the gas pedal after a stop, its really annoying........ANY help would be great from my fellow SCIONeers!

yeah thats why when you buy it it comes with this little rubber thing you have to put on the the inner fender part. i just used a piece of foam/sponge and that worked for me.

right where the kids hands are is where its tapping, so put foam under it.

I know that, and i even went further than that cheap crap rubber strip they give you, and put in one of the strong black rubber threaded hose thing around it, and put in a super glue to keep it there, thats not where the tapping is coming from, that used to be the problem, but i fixed that. To me it sounds like the sound is coming from where the filter is located.........

I guess thats my only option......But for watever reason, the car cannot be in park , it has to be moving forward or reverse, so itll be a lil dificult but not impossible. Thanks, i wonder if anyone else is having the same problem. I mean most CAI tap or make some sort of noise regardless.

most poeple get a ticking noise when they put on a CAI, the tap some ppl get can be removed by doing the rubber or foam thing i mentioned.

I used to get a vibrating sound too from the piece of plastic that's by the radiator I've since put weather stripping there and have yet to hear it since.

go to www.doctorisotope.com. He sell a panel that makes the CAI fit snugly and keeps it from rattling. He's also a member of the site!

Sounds like you already know your next step - gotta pull back that fender again and check your lower vibra mount and filter positioning. Good luck to you.
