hello all,
SLK1Z is totally correct. i checked with RIV (Registrar of Imported Vehicles) a month ago while the car was on its way over on the boat from japan, and so far, according to the August 2006 update, the 2007 tc IS ADMISSIBLE. and lucky for me, i began the importation process my pretty new supa' white 2007 tc into BC YESTERDAY. no problems with the CBSA at the border, paid the taxes (they forgot to charge me duty-WOOT!)...but not quite home free yet. still need to go make modifications (if any) and pass the federal inspection.
is there anyone else in BC with a tc?
she's soooo pretty......
*wave* if you see me driving around kits in van.
take care + i'll keep you all posted on the progress.
I responded with this. Correct me if im wrong:

Will be checking into that at the beginning of the week...

One thing to keep in mind though...you brought it in through a loop hole. Once the Gov realizes their mistake, you may have to get rid of the tC.
Also, I find your story slightly flawed.
Why pay the extra money to import a tC from Japan (BTW, their is no 'SCION' in Japan) when it would be much cheaper to import one from the US....especially since, as far as I know, the tC is available only as a US-market car.
2-You cant import any vehicle from Japan into Canada that wasnt sold here unless it is 15 years old...well, you can, but, you cant reg'r it for road use (IE, show or track car only). Thats why everyone in Canada with a skyline has 89's, lol!
