Default Introducing myself as a new TC owner in Oklahoma

Just thought I would start somewhere and say hello. I come from the Subaru world where I have had in the past a 04WRX , then a 01 GC8 Imprezza 2.5RS and currently a 06 Legacy GT limited that has been tinkered with also. Anyways I recently got married and the wife has been driving a 01 Honda Civic LX. I never felt safe driving that car and I never felt she was safe at all either driving it. So for awhile I have been trying to get her to buy a new car because I hate her driving that POS even though the gas mileage is great. Anyways so the talk of a new car she starts researching online for new cars and one day she says I really like the Scion TC. I say great I like that car also. She then says I built one online and its definitely in our price range. So luckily there is a toyota dealership about 3 miles from our house and off we go for a test drive. The only 5 speed they had on the lot was a white TRD supercharged one. So we test drive it. I like it so does she. She is 5'2" and hates bigger cars where she cant see out of. She says i really like the car and that she is comfortable with. So we go home that night after driving the supercharged TC and tell her that the supercharger is not worth the money and lets get a bone stock tc. She agrees and about a week later we go back and start the paperwork.

So we bought a 08 Blue ribbon metallic 5 speed with zero options. We still havent got the car yet it should be here within a couple days. That night she says time to start buying parts for it. I get a big grin because I have had the itch to modify a car for awhile because my legacy was bought and modified fully in about 4 months from the date of purchase. So first thing we order is Gram light 57 maximum's. Then come the Tein SS-P Coilovers with edfc, b&m short throw shifter, perrin shorty antenna, hotchis sway bars, cusco strut tower bar. I want the car to be able to handle before any power mods come. It is goign to be an adjustment for me to drive this car coming from a 356/356 AWHP/TQ on a low reading mustang dyno car that runs low 12's to a FWD lighter car . She has already ok'd a Turbo kit for the car once it gets nice and broken in and she learns how to drive this car.

So hopefully the parts and car get here around the same time and I get to get dirty again. I will post pics once the car gets in our hands and after all the goodies get put on. Just wanted to say hi.

You are one lucky man to have a wife that is into car customization and performance. Don't let go of that one!
