Denso's just startup really fast 3-4 seconds to full output, if that's what you want it's worth the money. Morimoto's run 8-10 before full output.

 

When I come back from TN, I think I'll open up one of the no-names and one of the Xentecs to look at the differences in the internals. The no-names have trouble regulating power, although they do fire 100% of the time thus far. But after they warm up, the beam starts moving and flickering due to fluctuating voltage. Even though my Xentecs were cheap, I bought them before everyone and their mother had HIDs. They may not have the best internals, but certainly better than the crap that's being churned out now. Technically they still work, but one doesn't fire all the time and sometimes will burn out the fuse on my relay. I guess whatever regulates the voltage is failing. The next time I go to TRS, I'll try and get some pics of the internals of a Morimoto/Denso/Matsush(i)ta.

 

Alrighty then. It's been way too long since I updated this. Currently my OEM lip kit is being painted. It should be ready and maybe installed on Friday. I also have another 08 lower grille in the mail so I can put my VRD upper back in. I'll post some updated pics once everything is on.

Next on the list is most likely coils, but I did stumble upon some wheels that I may have to jump on. Especially since I have tires just sitting in my garage.

I think I might order another set of Anzos too. I kinda miss 'em.

I would, but now that I have the lip kit on, I'm losing motivation to do any other large purchases lol. I think I'm gonna start on my retro and buy Clazzios and be done for a while. Especially since I can't really afford wheels. Well I could, but I don't wanna be broke haha. My car is at perfect DD status at the moment.

 

Whoa. Been almost a year since I've posted in here. Nothing new going on, just doing maintenance and keeping it clean. I might order some Clazzios soon, but that's about it. I'm ready for something new.

 

I like it.. it's not crazy.. Kinda like I've done my 1st Gen 08, modified, but just a nice, clean overall look.

 

I want something new bad! But having another 300-400 dollar payment is keeping me away from getting a new car. I kind of want to just get something that im not going to mod at all.

I love the look of an frs but it was kind of boring to me, but I did test drive an auto. I'm looking at an frs, speed3, wrx and optima. Optima being the one that i would just lower it a little and tint.

I've come close to trading it in lately, but I can't get used to the idea of having a car note again. Instead, I may be ordering some wheels, coils, and other miscellaneous things for it.
