Jon, I love how your car sits. So simple and clean. I wish my paint was that flawless, lol. Black ice FTW!

Hmm, never seen or heard of a 524td. What are your plans for it if you do get it?

I'm seriously considering it. I feel like if I let it slip away I'll regret it. The diesel was only made for 2 years, '85 and '86 I believe. This is the first and only one I've ever seen.

Thanks man. My paint is far from flawless though. If I get this BMW then I can finally get the tC where I want it without fear of something being damaged on it from daily driving.

As far as the mods on the 524, I'm thinking wheels, drop, Euro bumpers or bumper delete, done.

ahahaha, wow, while it sounds like an interesting unique car...the bmw 524td did 0 to 62 mph in over 13 seconds...so...not exactly a car you'd drive if you were in a hurry...

Yeah I'm mainly buying it for the neat factor. Otherwise I'd look for a 528/535i.

You guys may think I'm crazy, but I gotta get it to sound and smoke like this lolol.

The oem grille doesn't look bad. There are a lot of good combinations for the different years and I find that they can all look good depending on the situation, and yours is one of them. May I ask what you're lowered on?

p.s. the beamer is sick

^Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see it. I'm on Hotchkis springs.

A little update: BMW is on the back burner. Well, I want a 70s diesel Benz now or a Cressida. In the meantime, I bought a full OEM lip kit with bumpers and grilles too!

Where did you get it from?

I just got a deal on an OEM front lip, once it gets in it will get painted and that and the OEM rear lip will get put on!

^Jealous right now. It has taken me forever to find a good deal on the OEM front lip and you score a deal on the entire kit!!! The car gods are not fair to me.

And it's BSP too haha. When I saw it, I was like watch he's somewhere on the other side of the country. When I saw he was local I had to buy it. I got all of it for a little more than what a new front bumper would cost.

Lol I couldn't pass it up. I almost ordered the sides and rear earlier this week from McGeorge Toyota but I'm glad I waited.

Someone posted the link on FB. Usually all I do is look at pics and check the regional section when I go on there so I wouldn't have known without the link lol.

Didn't know there was legit HIDs lol, unless it's OEM. Guess I'll have to check TRS, this still a plug and play kit?

These were designed to be as good as OEM. He also sells OEM ballasts and bulbs too, but they cost more. I saw a Denso ballast, which is what Toyota uses, while I was there. Compared to the kit I have in my car now, these are superb. Then again what can I expect paying $25 for 2 ballasts lol. My Xentecs (which I had for 4 years and paid $45 for) finally crapped out so I bought some cheap no-name ones (big mistake) to allow me to run the projectors since my car is an 06.

And yeah it's still plug and play.

Yeah Morimoto are really good. Better then the cheap no name brand.

My next step are to get the OEM ballast, Denso Slims. From what i've seen and read there really good but a little pricey 160

Lightbulb

The kit Jon bought is the right way to go before the actual projector is upgraded, TRUE 35W ballast w/4300K, right amount of light with less glare then the 6K+ kits. I have the identical setup in my 09 TC right now.
