Default Just bought my new tC today!

I bought it in blue. I added, the lip/body kit, TRD exhaust, AEM oil cap and battery tie down, Hotckis strut bar, blue interior lights, foglights, auto-dimming mirror, 2-1 floormats, wheel locks and I think that's it... Basically came to around 19,400.

I already invested a bit into the audio mods. I bought the double DIN Kenwood 6.5" widescreen/touchscreen DVD unit with DSP. I also have 2 brand new 12" Alpine Type-Rs, a 2 Farad Pheonix Gold Capacitor 2AWG blue wiring, (to match the scheme) and debating on keeping my 1 week old RF amps (6002, and 4004) or buying new and matching Kenwood amps.

What size speakers are the internals on the new tCs? I should search I know, but it's 1am here and I have school in about 6 hours. I just got out of work and haven't seen a PC since I bought the car.

What do you guys think? BTW - They couldn't order the Supercharger yet, but expect to see that installed in the spring. Why bother to have it during the winter? I'll take pics on Friday night or Saturday morning after I pick up the car.

I would like to see pics of your system once installed. Looks like we are working towards the same car. Congrats on the new ride. You are gonna love it.

I'd say go with Kicker.

And yeah, how'd you get all that for $19k??? I paid more than that for the same stuff... well, minus the extra warranty.

BTW - I was a HUGE performance freak. Now with the tC I just want the car to be nice. I sold my 2003 Evo8 for this car. If that gives you an idea how much I like them.

I plan on keeping the car very clean and simple. Extensive audio and lighting will be done, but stock body. Rims and supercharger in the spring and the car should be sitting pretty (prob lower the car by then too haha).

Here's my 2cents. If you just bought the RF amps, use them if you like them. If they don't match color wise you can always paint them.

RF makes decent amps. Pheonix gold makes some very good amps! Now if you want to keep it cheap and still get a highly rated and test amp, try out the MTX amps. I used to run IASCA and used MTX speakers, amps, etc. and they worked great. My car ran 148db on 3 10" subs, 2 amps, and component speakers all while maintaining a near perfect 10 flat audio band. My components, which make up the most of the floor were Boston Acoustics though. And of course, not many people know, but these are better then Bose for home and car just not as well known.

It just depends what you want. Don't feel weird about painting the amps, hell have them powder coated (if you can remove the shell). That kind of stuff earns good points.

Thanks for the input man!

Here's the catch to all of this. I work at Best Buy. I've been working there for 3 years now. With my discounts, I can get some insane deals. The fosgate amps are a great example.

Normally $449.99 for the P6002 (brand new chrome amp), I paid $254.93. Those deals are what keeps me with those brands.

My only issue is the size. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to figure this out, but I wanted to set up the amps so if I tookt he sub box out, the amps would be out of the way and I'd still have a functional trunk. With small amps I can pull it off. This little setup with the monstrous RF amps (about 18" long each, I have the P4004 as well), will be a stretch to pull off but we shall wait and see. I'll try to post updates tomorrow.

Please stay tuned!

You can get that amp for $299 from etronics.com (I get all my stuff from them)
http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=rocp6002
You could say your only saving $50 plus shipping costs.

So just cause you work somewhere and can get a discount is no reason to go with something you dont' really want. Just look around and you should be able fo find better prices on what you really want, not being limited by what Best Buy carries.

JL Audio is the best out go to onlinecarstereo.com and get you a 12w6v2 and a 500 watt mono amp and you will be the happiest person alive... I have 2 10w6v2 and I can barely hear anything now... its unbelievable bass...

I'm not a huge fan of bass honestly. I love GREAT sound, and if the volume is extremely high, I want the bottom end to keep up with the highs.

I'll look at my options with the car tomorrow and I'll figure out what I'll be doing.

If that is an 'out the door' price, you definitely got a great deal. Actually even if its not out the door it still is $500 plus below prices on the Scion site. Which dealership did you get it from? Maybe some people looking for a tC could get a good deal too.
