Default Just to give you all something to look forward to..

I have placed my order for 2 (!) gallons of eDead liquid sound deadener, and 60 sq. ft of their mat-based deadener. Will arrive middle of this week. I imagine towards the end of next week I'll be doing the install. I will be taking a lot of pictures (or at least enough pictures to support the write up) so that others who are unsure about doing this can be convinced. It will be the first car I have deadened, but any idiot can do it, and I am going to prove it.

Hope you're all somewhat excited.

koo. im actually very excited. heard my car with the subs on and i was not impressed. sounded like utter poopoo.

as for the road noise being reduced.. never really bugged me... i just need to get rid of that very unsexy rattle on the outside of the vehicle when the sound is up.

Awsome! Can't wait. But if you can find an auto scale, I'd be interested to see how much weight it adds afterwards.

Wait. Before the stuff is installed weigh it all. Then weigh the left over amounts when you're done. The difference is the weight added to the car.

They same day shipped it, already impressed. Both boxes (I assume one box is the v3, and the other is the v1 60 sq. ft) Will be here Wednesday. Need to look at my work schedule.. I have veterans day off, so if I get my car from the dealership that day quickly enough (they have to fix something minor with the rear hatch) I may be able to do it then. Count on by saturday night I'll have it done.

According to UPS one box will be 20 lbs, one will be 25 lbs. I estimate this will add about 30-38 lbs to the car, depending on how heavy I go (I will be going pretty heavy, mind you). My skinnyness offsets this weight .

Yeah, being skinny, you can go heavy with the deadening stuff. Hurry up with the pics and "how to" post. :D

Actually weigh the car if you can. Those materials can weigh like 30 lbs before, and 22lbs after. Also please don't forget to measure the before and after sound level at say 60mph on the same stretch of road to get the benefits.

There is the other stuff out there that is supposed to be pretty good. It's called QuietCar, and that is what I had planned on putting on my car. Check it out.

Thanks in advanced for the detailed write up and results!

Got it today. Well packaged, and lighter than the UPS anticipated weight. I'll be tearing my car out Friday I believe.
