go either fujita or injen; either way get a doc-i fender panel else it rattles the hell outta the fender and will annoy you; congrats on the new car

all intakes do the samething and all it's just about 1-3hp between each brand, i've owned fujita, injen, and now have an aem cai and my gf has a trd intake on her's and it's the same but the aem is louder than the rest mentioned and we're both stock besides intake.....btw congrats on your tc

Smile ...TC or NOT TC....

When they say 'get pully' they mean to say:
Replace your heavy iron pully (that drives the belts) on the motor, with a light weight aluminum (racing) pully. I did this on my XB and was pleased.

I'll bet some TC guys can tell you what brand to get, overdrive or not, and they can probably link you to a do-it-yourself thread with photos and step by step instructions.

My advice is to check to be sure that you have a CABIN AIR FILTER in the tray behind the glove box. Scion did not provide a filter in past models, but they may have begun providing them after seeing my posts to all SCION owners about the empty filter tray.

Welcome to Scion Life.

the cabin air filter as its name implies filters the air blown through the hvac system(allergens and all that bs). you can buy a standard home filter(paper, not fiberglass) and cut it so it fits in the tray or get one from toyota. To get to the tray you remove the glove box by squeezing the sides until it comes down, disconnect the dampener on the right, and pull out. The tray pulls out of the hvac unit.

My suggestion for a first mod would have to be a short shifter. It makes the car feel more precise like a sports car and less like a old pickup.
