Well after class today, Just got into my car to notice that my passenger side mirror was damaged. I already know that campus police won't help me out too much. But yeah I was trying to find just the glass for a replacement, but auto parts stores only carry the whole assembly and asking for just roughly $150 for it (yeah i don't feel like going that route). Should I just try to find a junk shop that might have some in stock?

-I guess my next question would be if i should move this post to like a region and ask about junk shops that specialize in scion tc

 

If you can find one in a junk yard, in your color, go for it. Will definitely be cheaper. Otherwise you have no choice but to replace the whole thing. Really that price isn't bad though.

I've been there. Knocked my driver's side off backing out of my aunt/uncle's driveway one day. Stupid fence came out of nowhere.

Well the issue isn't necessarily what is broken - it is what parts can you get. That's the problem.

 

I just picked up the convex glass, but haven't installed it yet. Mainly because I can't figure out how to pop the oem glass off. If I figure it out I would be willing to sell you whichever side glass you need.

try a auto glass shop. i used to work for a auto glass shop be fore and the glass mirrors were about $50 and were installed in 10 min.

try safelite they are a nationwide auto glass company.

 

yeah i might go to my local auto glass guy i go to for all my glass repair.

 

I got a OEM like replacement from ebay for $60 new. I just needed a new side mirror signal, but either way, it's works/looks great. Now to get it and the pass side painted to match as the '05 IIP isn't holding up well on the mirrors.
