Default Anyone with a Siren in there tC?

First off I just wanna start by saying this forum is full of great information and usable DIY's. But i came here to ask a question pertaining to a Whelen Siren install. I know some of you are probably gonna ask why i would wanna put one in, but its for a legit reason. It was originally installed in my 92 Ford Ranger where the ashtray was. It just slid right in without biding. now i Bought a 08 Scion tC and wanna install it in this car. I already got a spot for the speaker, now im stuck on where to run the wire harness and the whelen 295slsa1 unit.

Is there any usable firewall holes that i can route the harness through? and where can the unit be mounted?

my original idea was to place it in the cubby hole below the HVAC unit, but it was just not gonna happen. the unit measures 2.5"H - 6"L - 7"D

Any help is really appreciated, as this need to be installed soon

You could install the control box in the center console/arm rest. As far as the firewall, there is a bundle of wires through a grommet above the brake pedal. Poke a hole in it, and run the wires.

I tried the senter armrest and the unit is a bit too big for it. also there are power ports in there that make it difficult to route around. any other places that would keep the unit within reach?

there really isnt any other places, you could take out the radio and have it there. to reach the firewall hole you will have to take off your whole dash to attempt to pull a wire through. for power + ground just tap into the fuse box and find a chassis ground.

pm me if u got any questions, i just wired in 2 whelen slim misers and have them mounted on my dash, workin on installing the strobes next weekend.

Glove box would be your next option. Or mount it to the side of the center console, passenger side, like in a police car.
And you don't have to pull the dash to run the wires. I just wired 2 sound systems through this grommet.

If u have a manual, unscrew the shift ****, then pull the shift bezel toward you, disconnect the cig plug. To put back together, just reverse.
