Default Just got my TC and a $50 Dealership gift certificate

I just went through a lot shiet through Hammer toyota and just got my tc... after goin through problems with pricing.. i ended up with a $50 gift certificate and 15% discount lifetime customer card for parts and service only at Hammer Toyota.. my question is what do u guys think is worth using the $50 gift certifcate. I kno that i may recieve a $50 financial certificate for going with toyota financing but the gift certificate i got from hammer can't be used online with like mcgeorgeparts.com . So i'm curious whats worth it.. like oil or something..?? i don't need to buy parts that i kno i can save more money buying online so anything that i only can get at the parts department would be great to kno.

Does that 15% discount work on the supercharger?

yeah i believe the 15% discount works on the charger because its a part that they carry in the parts department.. so i guess i need to find out if this discount is forever because it sez lifetime... i guess if would get the supercharger the discount would cover install and tax's well i don't have $3,000 now.. so.. what u guys think i should use the $50 for?

the problems with pricing was my original order was for a base model and i signed the contract for the base model with just side airbags and when it got it i took it home then they called me to come back because the vin numbers were screwed up then i find out that the new contract i was signing was more then $1,000+ from my original contract.

i didn't ask for the discount the financing guy at hamer toyota was trying to be nice to me.. and i asked if i could get anything for all this trouble so he gave me two $25 gift certificates to the parts dept and service department.. and also said he rarely does this only for special customers he gave me this card that sez 15% off parts at hamer toyota.

as a side note i just got into a accident grr.. gonna post up another post about it.

grr this sucks the 15% LIFETIME DISCOUNT is for only toyota parts and doesn't work with trd and scion parts.. grr.. whats the point of getting the discount if it doesn't even apply to my car.. grr.. well at least its lifetime..

My dealership gave me a 10% lifetime discount in the parts department when I bought my tC. Everytime I buy something though the tell me I can't have it, that's only on Toyota vehicles. Even though the salesman made a point of it when I signed my papers. So I have to cause a scene everytime I buy something. They always say, "We'll do it for you this time even though we're not supposed to."

Trust me...If you make them look bad enough in front of people getting ready to buy a new car from them, they'll give you the discount.

I'm usually a nice guy, but it's the principle of the matter. :-)

If you can play the technical game then you might win. Scion is owned by Toyota and we do have a Camry engine so the Supercharger is a "Toyota" part for the Camry engine. Also TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development and last I looked there was a thread that stated something about TRD getting folded back into Toyota. TRD makes "Toyota" parts for all its cars. After explaining all this I don't see a problem with the certificate do you?

You sound like me...the last time I was in Toyota getting my TC serviced, they tried to make me pay for stuff I didn't ask them to do....let's just say, I caused a scene and I demanded to see the manager. He came out and took care of the situation and I didn't pay an extra dime on nothing...mind you, people were looking at me and I was like, umm...would you pay for an iced tea when you know you really ordered a coke???? ha ha

How about touch-up paint and driving school?

Sorry, that joke's only good if it was YOUR fault...bummer on the new car.

man hamer is messed up. i'd do what i can to get the most that i can from the dealer. if they ____ they're unfair or lie to me, i would make a scene and attract some negative attention to their dealer
