haha no offense but that was hilarious
so the way i see it.. the cop totally over reacted.. yeah he has tinted windows.. exhaust.. license plate cover.. but who doesnt? i have all that minus the LP cover.. but that's because i like the way my car looks like that. it's not my fault.. his fault.. or anyone that never did anything wrong. theres no reason for the cop to flame out the way he did. personally.. i did what he did. i took off my tint and exhaust.. had it signed off... 2 hours later.. i have everything back on as it was. i like it.. if i get pulled over again.. my bad.. 50 bucks i have to pay. just do what you want.
I have to agree that the ticket sucks... but there are ways of getting out of even the most legit tickets you know. I've done this a couple times (cause im caught speeding...alot)..
and i know it has worked with me. Basically, you go to the court house which your told to be at on w/e date you have, then you go up to the clerk and ask for a countinuence (dont know if that is spelled right, sorry). They will give you a month and reschedual your court date. then in one month, you go in again, and do the same thing. and again and again and again, until the judge wont grant you another. Then on the day your "have" to show up... Dress nice, keep all notes from the night you were pulled over, be on time, and prey to god the cop doesnt show up. If he doesn't, you win by default, if he does actually show up, prey again that he doesnt remember any details about the night, the less he appears to know, the better you look in court. Im not saying your right or wrong, just giving you an idea to play with. either way, that 500 bucks stays in your acount for a few moths.

2. Cops for the most part keep eveything on paper so there shouldn't be anything for him/her to "forget"
3. Its really not worth taking off multiple days from work (if you have a job) for going to court that many times. At least in my case.

Here in az, the cops represent themselves on any kind of traffic violation just incase anyone was curious, lol. I personally have never even heard of people getting pulled over for poop like exhaust, lp covers, and tint. I have full exhaust w/cel light... limo all the way around, lp cover, and a bad attitute, i have only got tickets for speeding... other states must be harsh! Well good luck with your tickets. hope i helped you out some how, if not now then later.

All it is is a way to get more of your money. The cop really doesn't care that your tint it to dark. It's the lawmakers that are saying "hrmm we need more money for this program lets come up with something to get more money for it... hey look at that kid in his car with the dark windows... that's dangerous... lets make it illegal" Just an example I know that's not why tint laws are applied.
Pay your fine and write your congressmen to attempt at making a change. Who knows it might work?

They see it as officer safety, but a $500 fine is crazy.

and on a side note I was pulled over for my tint before and the cop told me it was a safety thing to protect him and fellow officers... because according to him he could walk up and get shot and not see someone holding a gun, then i told him "officer I rolled down my window before you started walking up to my car so you knew i wasnt going to try anything, I hope you wouldnt walk up to someone if they didnt roll down theres for you" he just ended up giving me a warning
