Well, most likely, you're not going to scuff the top of the rear bumper loading things into your car. My girlfriend and I picked up a new entertainment armoire and it was in a long heavy box. We just sat it on the black plastic interior lip of the trunk and slid it. I do think if you're likely to hop into the trunk (to either pull the seats up or unload stuff) the applique might keep you from scratching the bumper with your shoes.

i think both are pretty useless... a shiny battery tie-down? whatever. and the bumper applique just makes the rear more busy. you would do better investing in some floor mats and mud guards.. stuff you can actually use.

Well I have the bumper applique, and it looks pretty sweet on silver streak mica. It really depends on the color of your tC. It's just basically a wide but thin vinal strip that matches your car's paint and has "SCION" embossed in the center with an accent color. It's somewhat faint on my car but on some other colors it can really stand out. Good luck man and happy customizing

It's clear, not colored. The Scion lettering is in a light silver, almost like a "ghost" image or something.

I think on a dark car it might look good, but on a light one they tend to collect dirt around the edge. I saw it on a white xA at the dealer and it had a dark ring all the way around it. Yuck.

HA, I did that and ended up with two sets of floormats! *I ordered my tC completely stock, but I bought it from a dealer in another state, so I didn't bother haggling about it.. but now I have to get rid of these extra mats!
